blinkme1a was pwned, yes, but its all over and done with. These noobs always dig out old ass threads and think they are hilarious. OK! BACK ON TOPIC PLZ! When i get some money together and re-do my stereo, I wont be wasting my $$ on 15"s. I am going for some 6" splits up front, another set of 5" either at the inside-end of the front door, or front of rear door. Would like to put the set of 5" on either side of centre console bit. Has anyone ever seen this done? As 6x9s in the rear and interfere and cancell out some frequencies from subs, i am thinking of putting a set of high powered 6" splits on the parcel shelf. Now, here is the tricky bit. I will be making a custom boot. Possibly making a fake floor for the spare tyre? has anyone got pics of a fakey? 10" subs, on both sides(left and right) of the boot... 2x 12" Facing backwards towards the boot, with a port up through the parcel for better sounds into the cabin, while still providing a big deep bass. One mono amp for the subs, one 4way for the back 2 sets of speakers, and one 2way for the fronts. Anyones thoughts plz??!

Let me explain. to do it, you need to have the subs actually bolted to connected to the other, cone to cone, with one sub in a box. You need to have the right amp and wiring setup for it, but you wire up your subs 180 degrees out of phase with each other. IE you get a bass note come through, sub A is on the outwards excursion and sub b goes into inwards excursrion, then it reverses. It has the effect of bacially making your one sub put out the momentum of two, minus some loss. Its a great wat to conserve space. On that note, I was going to do that in my old VN commodore, but I opted to have 2 15' subs behind that armrest, 600WRMS to each sub with a custom shelf made so the port could face up on the rear window. Before it wore in and loosened up (stupid I know) I DB tested it at 146.6 DB, used to cause me propblem in my teeth with pain after a while. VN is gone now, and I just picked up a black VL berlina.
