seeing as you just replace the actual rail itself i dont see any problem with the electronics working in a VL.

In relation to Vr/Vs etc back seats fitting a VL.. i looked into this and found out that the VR/VS seats (and onwards) have to be cut down a bit. It obvious looking at the back seat that it wont fit. I was quoted i think either $600 or $800 to cut the back seat, take a bit out of it (hypothetically like 6 inches just say) and mould/weld it back together and re fabric it.. its alot of work, and if you have the money do it, coz it looks nutz.. but the trimmer told me he could re bolster the orig vl seat and beef it up, and retrim it in a different colour cloth for basically the same price. (not leather). Hope that helped.

yeah, i measured the back seat and its about 70mm too wide but the back part of the seat with the fold down ski hole would be easier as each side fits quite well so you would just need to modify the centre fold down part to make it narrower. then just make up some sort of brackets.

G'day, I have seen someone put VR SS seats in the front and rear of a VL, Apparently he played around with it and cut some of the mounting out a little for the back seats and it all squeezed in fine, i had a look at it and it looked good and was in solid. I dont know alot of detail on how he did it but the way he put it was that its quite easy to do. About the electric seats, i am keen to hear if anyones done that as well..... thanks Mick.

Today I put in some SV5000 seats in my S2 VL Berlina.Bolted straight in although I had to swap the left side rail on the drivers seats over as the one on it didnt line up with the holes in the floor. Go here http://www.streetcommodores.com.au/f...ad.php?t=35656 (http://www.streetcommodores.com.au/forum_3/showthread.php?t=35656) for more pictures. Cheers. Cheers. mate.. look at the passanger seat - its angled towards the outside of the car. swap the rails on that with the VL ones too. can't remember which side is different but one of them is. the seat will sit straight after that. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Cheers for that natho.I did see that after I put them in but just thought that maybe the frame was a little bit bent as the car they came out of was rolled.I'll give it a try on the weekend. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Fellas- I recently installed a complete VT CALAIS LEATHER interior into my VC. The fronts were dead easy. You may notice there are some weird tags and angles on the underside of the VT rails. I removed these with an angle grinder and the two front holes line up sweet. I then drilled the two rear holes and now i have 8 way elec adjustable. The rears are way hard but. You have to weld or rivet locating tags for upright bit on the bench and drill the bottom in.
