The worst lose I've ever had, I had the cruise on at about 70-80 in driving rain. It was getting really, really heavy and I had the stereo up loud, so I reached over to turn it off, and hit the overdrive button by accident. The car dropped back a gear and revved unusually high, was enough to kick the back of the car out. I ended up aquaplaning down this road, totally sideways and out of control, fortunately the car slid back into a more 'forwards' attitude and hooked up fairly quickly. It's lucky it was late at night and there was no traffic, or it wouldn't have just been my pants that got messed up.
In the rain, you don't have to do anything wrong to lose it! Don't be so harsh!
that situation is driver error, not the cars fault.
I find it extremely hard to believe anyone would lose control entirely because it came out of the blue.
You're in a VL, and you're male, like any cop or insurance company is going to believe that you just lost it "all of the sudden".

god dude u seem like an A**hole!!!! the poor guy could have been crazy hurt and all u have to say is its his fault??? could have been poor lighting, bad conditions, flattish tyres, poor street condition.its highly unlikely he would be chucking burnouts and hooning in a bushed area when we all se what happens to a rally car when it collides with a tree. none would be so dumb.

Geez, you do seem like an asss
lucky it didnt take out the pillar
my bro bent his with a simple hit like yours
the gard wads bent and we thought that it would be just a simple replace job wrong............
Looks like you have a problem with cats walking on your car aswell.....
You got off lightly if in fact its just the front guard that copped it.
Deny everything, there were no witnesses and as someone else said, say a cat or dog ran in front of you and get your Mrs to make a statement confirming this. Good luck with it.
Oh and I hope you got the paint code coz that dont look like a factory colour?
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
