28-03-08, 21:18 GMT+10#41 yeah i think its a country pack cos its got a heavy duty tow bar, the high springs and a sump bash plate. i dont thin wagon diffs bolt up to the sedans, so might be out of a v8 sedan or just a factory option.

28-03-08, 22:13 GMT+10#42 Oh yeah, d*ckhead. I meant sedan. I was thinking "load = wagon".
I'd go for a V8 sedan with a country/tow pack.

23-05-08, 17:19 GMT+10#45 I have 92030910 - FE2 LSD Diff, but most times when booting it, only right rear spins. Does this mean my diff is worn?
Also, when I get revs up and drop clutch in first gear, rear end bounces.... Is this due to diff wear or is it something else?

its got disk brakes, wondering what axles it has? also it doesnt seem to be an lsd
All VL V8s have 28 spline axles. LSD was an option.

No, all VL diffs are borg warner, and have eight bolt holes on the pinion flange, and only four bolt holes on the tailshaft. Therefore, four bolt connection.

Yes, the LSD clutch cones or springs will be worn out. Alternatively, your diff centre could have been changed for an open wheeler type.

Check your compliance plate in the engine bay, see what axle code is listed there. If you see G80, it has been optioned with and LSD.

03-04-09, 15:35 GMT+10#47 I don't think you have any idea what you're talking about.
It depends what you want from the car. 3.08 (V8 gearing) is better suited to V8s for cruising.

Refer back to page 1 of this thread as no VL has G80 on the compliance plate. This includes the two models to get the LSD as standard fitment being the HDT and HSV Group A's.

12-10-09, 23:25 GMT+10#51 Now that we've bumped this thread up... if anyone has a V8 diff can they list what the number is? Preferably only if you have the original diff in your car, or if you know 100% what it's from. I think there's a pattern to these part numbers but I need a few more to fill in the blanks.

07-11-11, 19:05 GMT+10#53 Just a small observation...
My V8 Berlina Wagon diff tag, lists the part number on page 1 for a Sedan?
It seems these numbers are never 100% spot on and are different for cars which should have the same number lol
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
