Hopefully get a front windscreen fitted, but finding it really difficult to obtain those stupid outer plastic mouldings that are in good condition, uncracked and unpainted.
No one in Victoria has really got decent ones which is fustrating.
Then a full detail, wash polish, interior and all my mate has to do is fit his new custom parcel shelf and back and side venetian blinds, and get a few more parts chrome plated.
It's come a long way from a bare metal shell.

I'm a legend I don't think so just a restorer, it's my hobby.
Yeah I've seen a few VL's with the one piece VT seal, but I can't do that because I still have the holes on the roof for the original plastics.
There is a commo wrecker in FTG that reckons his going to make fibreglass ones and sell for around $40.
Thanks guys.

Yes the complete VL outer front mould, but I much prefer a original part fibreglass stuff is crap, And if your restoring a car like I have nothing looks worse than a non factory looking part.
I will call around a few more wreckers to see if they have the moulds otherwise I have a painted black set but won't look as good.
Very hard part to get as they are obsolete from Holden, And no one makes them and even good second hand ones are rare as hens teeth.
Theres going to be problems because just about every VL has rust in the front screen area and some time it will need to be repaired so if you break your existing moulds your going to find it very hard unless you do the 1 piece VT seal.
East-Comm wreck in Ferntree Gully, is going to make fibreglass mould repoductions but he has'nt made them yet.

I don't know why the pictures don't show any more.
I have been meaning to get off my lazy ass and take some more pictures of the finished product but I have been pre-occupied with other things.
Last I spoke to my mate he got pulled over by a unmarked Police car, Silly boy took off sideways from a set of traffic lights right in front of the coppers but not only that he did 160kph before they pulled him up. He does'nt know if he will get a court summons or massive fine because the Police said he will receive something in the mail.
Fingers crossed he will get off because the police that pulled him up were under cover detectives and not traffic police. I think it was just a warning very lucky boy.

The turbo has since craped itself due to a non 360 degree bearing being fitted to the hi-flow thanks to Danny Breciani's advice my mate pulled it apart.
Rotor master or PET built this turbo we don't know, Mymate is not happy about it.
they only charged him $1,300 for a half done turbo, it should have been built correctly and had a 360 thrust bearing fitted.
The previous turbo built by ATS to bluey specs grenaded on 21psi. It lasted about 3 months. cost $1,250
And the original T03 died a very long time ago.
Can't any of these so called turbo professionals build turbos that can last. God knows he's spent a fortune on this crap.
Time for a brand new Garret GT 35/40, No more mucking around.

Car is For Sale on www.carsales.com.au (http://www.carsales.com.au)
It's never been driven or seen by anyone,Since I restored it, bar the paint coming off the washer/overflow bottle, "Dodgey Plastic primer". The whole car is immaculate, Show standard compared with others I have seen at shows.
New Hi-Flow T03 built by ATP.
Will run into the 10 second bracket easy with a tune - Autronic SMC.
Not cheap but well over $40,000 spent on this car alone.
Nothing to spend, just "Big Wheels" if that's your thing.
