id be up 4 it too. Im sure they would prefer this. I mean, its OK that sandown has V8 super cars that can be heard for miles and no 1 complains! As soon as it comes to car enthusiests, they dont even give us the time of day! I mean, its a once a year event! The track closes @ like 5 anyway! How can the noise effect anyone? And if it does, then why buy ahouse so close to a racetrack?

It's a bloody shame. I too look forward to going to the nats every year. Especially THIS year because i wanted to enter in it. Complete utter bullsh!t. And those pencil d!ck pen pushers that get paid 5 times what they are worth (let's face it, they dont do sh!t, all they are is wanna be polliticians) get to vote to see whether this event continues on or not. What gets me is, why has this issue been brought up all of a sudden? Why not last year? or the year before? why not next year? ... Sandown has been there for years and years.. Im not sure about the Nats, but i assume it has been an ongoing thing for over 4 years atleast. SURELY, when the easter nats first started up there were complaints? There must have been people against it. I wouldn't be the least surprised if one or more of these "councilers" live(d) next door and got this friggen partition amended. P!sses me off.. I agree in destroying stuff that weekend.. wait, nobody said destroy stuff.. oh well, i have, lets all get smashed and destroy things and run rampant that weekend. Can you imagine if all of the would be entrants brought thier cars down to sandown and started acting up on that HWY!?? lol would be a spectacle.

well they have done the voting them selvs! They vote against easternats, then they obvisoly prefer illegal street drag racing! Thats fine. more fun anyway! hahaha and cheaper... the part that ****s me is that the S.E. illegal drags were the biggest illegal drags in the country... and i'd say 70% of the entrants are from the the S.E. suburbs (if not more), and this is the one thing we have to look foward to and then they shut it down... if it isn't on, i hate to think what is gonna happen that weekend as far as drags go...

The Easternats are not cancelled yet... Theres gonna be another Council meeting on the 27th of Jan. (7:30pm at 39 Clow St. Dandenong) If the permit gets rejected at this meeting, Jon Davison is going to appeal at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal. We'll wait and see what happens... I reckon Easternats will still go ahead!

I farken hope so. I've been building a car since the last easternats cos I had so much fun rippen it up every where. I even have bought a car that can't be registed cos I thought well I can take it to easternats. I got out of qik streeters cos I could see myself getting in a bit of trouble sooner or later(180kph at least 15 times every friday nite). So I did the right thing and bought a off street car that I can still have fun in at the Easternats. I will be farken spewing if it is off. Well if it is back on at all look for a blue/purple LC 4 door torana with a full solid 3500 chev, 15 x 15 convo pros on the back, Nitrous in the boot and a huge scoop on the bonnet. Will be entering the cruzing, Dyno Challenge(620hp) and the Dragz(should be running 9.5 by then). Can't wait if it is still on!

You sound very similar to me I have the Cortina which ain't street registed any more and my Capri which is and engineered too but far from being a street car anymore. My VL Calais is just the work car runnaround. I hope it goes ahead I 'II chose one off my cars to enter. It's the best fun driving like a nut around the track ripping it up and showing off.
