spose, there was a post somewhere saying what the max revolutions of a SC14 is.. I think it was somethin like 14,000 rpm before it breaks.. so i spose i could push it till just before then :P

the only prob i can think of is u may damage ur gearbox by switching the blower on while u already got ur foot down ? no 100% sure but with the sudden hit of boost im guessing the n/a gear box wouldnt like it too much?

not to mention all the other things associated to the driveline, axles even. i've got myself an mx7 gearbox, and im looking at doing the conversion. I knew a guy that had a supercharged gemini that apparently flicked it on while doing 80km/h. whether he had the clutch in or something i don't know. as far as i can see though it'd just cause wheel spin

the clutch on the blower *may* not like it, you'd have to take it apart and have a good look at how it works, but if it can be switched on at 1800 rpm or something like it was originally designed to in the toyota then i don't see why it can't be turned on a bit higher? maybe like 3000? give it a shot and see what happens!

so what sourt of power does this thing make? how much of a difference does it make? just curious as I'm fitting a rb30 to a VK berlina and want some boost to go with it and the blower sounds much easier than a turb.

CRS quote a 30% power increase and 40% torque increase i think? that's on an otherwise completely stock RB30, add extractors and a decent exhaust to get the head flowing better and you're looking at about 40% more power i'd think. but it's the torque that's the main thing, a huge ramp of it all the way through the rev range.

You's are talking about pushing the blower to its limits. I thought if it blows its insides will end up in your engine.

30% sounds about right. They also say that theyre setup beats stock VLT's. My xmass list VLT ecu + injectors upgrade from 2 1/2 inch zort to 3" mOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRREE boost Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

the kit sounds like a good idea. im sure alot of guy would be interested. ide prefer to do the pipework myself though. maybe try and tidy it up a little. good work though mate. it looks a treat. couple of questions though. 1. did u do any engine mods? ie decompression plate, engine strengthening etc. 2. also, how does it idle? 3. is the s/c loud? 4. what is fuel consumption like? 5. how is ur engine temp situation? 6. have u noticed any downfalls so far with the performance or setup, other than no power steering and A/C? 7. when u gunna dyno run it? 8. what gearbox clutch are you running?

mods are listed somewhere i think. Idles fine, just a slight bit lower with the S/C on yes its got a distinct sound to it, like a whiiring sound with the blower on fuel cosumption is slightly worse Engine temp is fine, needed a big thermo fan no downfalls When I get some money :/ N/A 5 speed gearbox

nah man, work wont let me its become very evident to me that I need more top end speed few races vs a mates 180sx, its a T25 high flowed turbo on 10 psi with 3" zorst, 0 - 120 i was in front, 120 - 160 he was 2 car lengths in front. I really need to get a boost gauge on and start getting one way valves on to get the full 6psi into the motor. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

darn! gotta hate work sometimes eh. as for top end speed, who needs it? i've always planned this conversion so that car would kick the ass off most things on the street from 0-80 or 0-100, because how often would you want to race someone to 150 on a public road? the way the cops are now, i'm not game to race people too far above the speed limit. besides, once you've kicked their ass to 100 km/h you can back off and they know they've been beaten! stromy gained an extra 2psi i think with the one way valves, he will know how to do it properly, the guy is a guru when it comes to this stuff.

Go the supercharged setup........congrates...another beliver....now lets go hunt us some VL turbos.......yes and VL turbo drivers will always hate us.... Yes the most valid problem I found was getting the belt strait.....man that was hell to get working! I went through 3 belts in no time...oh well..... Yes you are correct, with the throttlebody behind the SC the car is very, uh, diffrent in the wet (read: holy ****! my old BT1 was nicer in the wet) I'm currently in the process of re-boreing the XF throttlebody in my system, and making up a water injector that goes where the XF's idle adjust screw goes......so for the time being its just a stock N/A (what a downgrade)...oh well...... Also I placed the AFM AFTER the blower....for some reason my idle improved when I put it there..... Also I have aquired a R32 Skyline 5 Speed and a 4.11 LSD....add that to the supercharged RB30E and we should have some fun I just can't find a flywheel for the manual conversio....I have everything else.....doh! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

sweet jesus! a 5 speed, with 4.11's in the rear, and a blower! good god man, how much torque do you want!?!?! good luck changing gears in that quick enough, you'll be doing 100 in third gear at 5000 rpm or something stupid, that will be a monster with those diff gears!
