11-01-04, 13:50 GMT+10#41 Interested in the brakes and wheel.
I own a stock N/A VL, how hard is it to upgrade the brakes to VLT ones? If it's not too hard I am very interested.
The woodgrain wheel did you get a boss kit for that at all?

11-01-04, 17:05 GMT+10#42 the brakes are easy to fit, they are bolt on. takes all of 1 hour. I can help if you need it. And sorry, the woodgrain wheel is sold.

With the brakes I have been told I will need a new bigger master cylinder, that right?
If so how much are they roughly cause as far as i can see you already sold yours?
Oh also I'll take the right indicator cause some ass decided to back into my car at work and do a runner and it cracked it all and dented the front nose cone panel on the corner, I think I will be able to push that out thankfully.

12-01-04, 17:18 GMT+10#44 the VLT and v8's came standard with a 1" master and a bigger booster. there are a few guys running around using the smaller master and booster, you do not need the bigger one. I would look at upgrading the master, but not the booster. master is ~25 from wreckers, booster about 80.
I'd only worry about the booster if it was turbo and you push it hard, as driving normally you won't notice the difference. the bigger booster only really works when the brakes are planted hard, and only makes the pedal easier to push, it doesn't make it stop as well as such. The bigger master pushes more fluid into the lines, so it helps to stop the car without as much effort on the pedal.

12-01-04, 18:53 GMT+10#46 Alright sounds good! My rotors need machining as they are squealing like a pig so why not upgrade instead, consider them sold with the indicator, I might just look around for the bigger master cyl then, how hard is that to replace?
(sorry for my complete lack of car knowledge, gotta start somewhere right )
