Yeah i'm wondering what the go is... nobody has said anything at all. I'm questioning if thats a good thing or a bad thing... Can someone who speaks to petes mates, or if you are petes close mate, can you please let us know what the story is. Be it good news or bad news, there's still alot of people here would like to know the condition of a fellow member.

i pasted this post off boost cruising!! Hi guys I've got some more details on Pete's condition from his accident on the 26th sep. I've managed to get in to see Pete a couple of times over the weekend & he's looking good but still in the drug induced acoma. They tried to bring him out of the coma thursday last week (which is meant to take a couple of days due to the amount of drugs in his system) but when he started to come to, he wasn't responding the way they hoped so he went under sedation again til today (mon) & are going to try again today sometime. He has still been on the machine to help with his breathing & that has played part aswell in taking a little longer as far as I know. Pete has had the sugery on his legs but still has to have quite substantial surgery on his hips which they will do once he is completely stable & awake. He's been in the coma for 1 week & 2 days providing he comes out ok today & the next stage of his treatment will begin shortly I guess depending on how soon they think he'll be up to it. At this stage it looks like Pete will be in hospital for at least another 6 weeks, maybe a little longer depending on his recovery process. After he comes out of hospital he will be in a wheel chair for about a month & then start on crutches for the period required to get back on his feet properly. After his next surgery Im sure he will be able to have more visitors once he is in a proper ward & out of intensive care so if you are after details I will have them at a later stage. At this stage that's about all I can tell you but if you would like me to answer any questions or explain things any better just PM me & I will be happy to do that. Also if there are members of the VL forums on here, please feel free to copy & paste the information over there for other friends to see. Thanks again for the support & keep in touch with me for furthur information. BLOME (Joel)

Latest news in a PM from Blome was that he's still in the drug induced coma and hasn't woken up yet. The hip is healing fairly well from not moving and he may not need surgery on it. So yeah.. continue to think of him and his family and if anyone is the praying type, that would be good.

First time on the forums in months so i missed this thread opening, i arrived at the acco scene shortly after and had some friends who were there who took photo's of the car, i am not positive as to how it happened but was told that he was leaving church and lost it in the wet, not speeding or doing anything stupid, to his mates, i was the guy at the hospital the night that it happened with the rest of his family, i haven't spoken to anyone since the night at the hospital, the doctors hoped things would improve quickly but it doesn't look that way, the last i heard was from his dad who said the doctors were unsure if the fluids would take in his legs, any news on whether or not this worked? A shame to have this happen to one of the nicest and most undeserving guys i know, best wishes and hope you get better soon Julien
