geez arent we allowed to even have an argument on here? not everyone has to agree with each other all the time. as soon as things are anything more than flat out boring old facts the thread is "going downhill" and needs to be locked.

Quote: A K&N filter seems to make the noise quite quiet, where as a hks filter will make the noise much more noticable. If you want to stand out get an external wastegate, as the fluttering noise really does nothing for your performance i've got an k&n pod and i say its preety loud when u back off on full boost and why do you say fluttering makes no performance intercoolers actually increase performance

Choice Bro I know what absolute pressure and relative pressure is mate, I have done enough hydraulics and fluid dynamics to understand this. I was describing it in relative pressure because that's what everyone would understand it in. Are you saying everyone here should be saying 'I run 10psi(rel)' or 'I'm running 24.6psi(abs)'? What does your boost gauge say mate? Oh I forgot you have an na vl - you wouldn't have one. It was good to see you sidestep your arguments and 'pre-empting' and resort to comments which aren't productive. Yes I have a silvia, no it didn't have a BOV when I got it. Yes it does now, just like most vlts I see driving around the city. ************************************************** *********** How about we all agree to disagree and leave it at that. It was a good discussion but we have not convinced everyone either way. If you want to call it 'intercooler noise', fine. I (like every other forum) won't. I think it is quite interesting that 87VLT agrees with me (he has heard the noise) and he cops a great deal flack about it - yet the site administrator, Sin, also comments he has heard the same noise and no-one questions/challenges him at all. Hmmm....... why no flack directed at Sin. Maybe Sin should have just started the topic and no-one would have replied. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

People are forgetting that this very thread is an insult to every "Bogan" on this forum. The entire post is offensive and arrogant, it was never not going to start a sh!tfight especially when the post starter sees himself as above everyone in this forum. The original post calls VL Turbo owners BOGANS. Hello. Good thing I own an NA 8) Quote: Originally Posted by rockysilvia Choice Bro I know what absolute pressure and relative pressure is mate, I have done...blah blah blah I'm not interested in your 1st year, 1st semester physics studies at Bankstown Uni. I am more interested in your attempt to reform the language barriers which have made the "Bogans" susceptible to ridicule for far too long. Nobody is arguing against your far superior Fluid Dynamics argument, you obviously are a German Rocket Scientist. So why the interest in language and discourse? Just let it go. People in this forum know what theyare talking about. Maybe the "Bogans" will change and call it something else. Until that day I wish you well in further attempts to help other "Bogans" with their language problems. And don't call me "mate" for obvious reasons. Those being that "mate" is a "bogan" term. How can you argue against some bogan terminology but use others freely? Do you subscribe to the Hallidayan approach to the Functional usage of language or are you more of a Leavisite? Yours Sincerely, Bogan.

dr00 I'm pretty sure that I didn't mention anything about locking this thread. Why would I when I have had input into this discussion. This has gone downhill means it turned from a good discussion into a ****fight. Why make personal insults about other people and their cars, it is not needed.(last sentence not directed at you dr00)

Choice Bro wrote: Quote: So let me offer an analogy. You are playing an electric guitar without an amp to a crowd at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, the crowd can not hear the guitar but you are playing your heart out. Then you plug it in to an AVP Stage 2 amplifier and the crowd can hear you. Ask the crowd where the noise is coming from. The answer is THE AMPLIFIER SPEAKERS. rockysilvia you should have ended your argument there as its in plain english! You also said you added a BOV to your silvia so you must be a bogan like some of us then. None of us would be stupid enough to go into a silvia forum and ****e stir so just go back and play with your rice burner buddies!
