Having Wolf 3D v4 Fitted atm to my RB30T.....$2500 fitted tuned etc. (SST) Ran previous version of Wolf on SR20......no complaints....produced the numbers on the Dyno...dragstrip...returned good fuel economy....idled well...drove smooth...what more do you want? (Personally i'm not interested in launch control etc) The handset / virtual dashboard is not just wank either it is definately a handy feature. Everyone no doubt has heard different storys about different ECU's.....personally I heard the auto tune feature on the Autronic is a load of wank and no one would ever realistically use it as it takes forever in a day to tune itself..........true?....who knows.

I guess just as long as people are happy with their choice of computers it doesn't really matter.

Some of the computers on the ECU comparison site have a boost controll feature. Whats this as if this acted as an electronic boost controller than surely this would be a huge advantage. I was thinking the Haltech E6K looked good and have heard these arent to pricey???? What are they worth and is the boost control feature good???

Give me a chance, I do work for a living, The price is one that I was given to me by the mechanic that I am buying my calais off, he owns a performance workshop in Cranny, It was one of those 'right time, right place things'. I could ask what his going rate is, I think it is normally about the same as what you guys were quoted.

What are they worth and is the boost control feature good??? My brothers (JET-88C) has the Haltech E6K electronic boost controller setup. He has a volume knob in the cabin that can turn the boost from 8 - 22 psi (and anywhere in between) which works really good. I can't remember the $$$ amount but was over 2k fitted and tuned from memory. Very good ECU.

So are the Haltechs a good computer??? And is 22psi the most boost the computer controller can handle or is that just all he has set??

can easily handle way more. 22 psi was the limit that he set on it (although he would love to set it a bit higher ) Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

More to the point people A computer is only as good as the person tuning it.

I heard a 'good' story about microtec, like the timing set at 34deg but actually putting out 30deg at high revs. This is where processor speed (and good programming) come into play. I have a SM4, you cant beat the flexability of outputs for doing pretty much anything you want! Not to mention all the fruit. They are not expencive if u shop around.
