seriously- the thought of ppl stealing other ppls stuff makes me suicidal-
i could not put into words what i have prepared for the day my mobile rings from my auto alarm saying that there has been a breakin -
the scope is good for up to 400 meters so they better either be wearing some leg and arm pads, or they better be able to run faster than karl lewis himself.

My car has been saved twice by my alarm...
One time they broke the window cos they couldn't open my solex locks, but the alarm made them piss off!!

Are the Solex lock's really worth it in the end? Cause I've heard of a lot of case's where when they see it's got Solex lock's, they just bust the glass to make it easier.

Ive been told u can remove em and how.
But yeah if it is too difficult they will smash the rear quater window and even if they wanna be harsh a screw driver thru the door skin and jiggle the locking mech until it lifts and opens.
Although i got this for my car, they add more protection then a lock u can open with a fingernail.

I guess there is the deterrent factor when they see the Solex lock's. They just think why cause a scene with this car when I can find one without these lock's and take it. :x

Yep used to have this set-up in my old car and any mongrel thief can get past it, all touching the screw does is create an earth. Any piece of wire can create an earth or even a screwdriver, its better than nothing though.
As others have said....it doesnt take long, with a club lock, 3 point immobiliser, solex locks and the ignition fuse removed, My VN Calais was stolen it the time it took to race up to the service station and fill a jerry can. Was about a 10 min walk return, worst feeling in the world coming back with your jerry can, still cursing running out in the first place, only to find an empty space where your car was 10mins ago
It got recovered, well found in the Broadwater Carpark minus rims, momo wheel, the stereo system, the whole car was also prepped for a respray, with all paint rubbed back. Luckly a nice policeman over looked the power tools and various other top end audio components that were in the boot. guess he figured I'd lost enough already..Actually said "This stuff is yours, yes"..I didnt answer and he shut the boot.
The car was never the same, just the thought of those dirty buggers shooting up on the back seat, throwing their used needles all over the floor for me to find. Three weeks later I got a call from the local cop shop, went down for a visit and they had a nice blown up camera fine of my car on the Pacific motorway, after about 5mins of studying the pic thinking I know that guy it clicked-it was the dirty ******* we bought the car from 12 mths before  "No Mr Plod I havent seen this guy before", Naturally justice was done without Police intervention. I got everything I lost and my car resprayed. The guy was very happy to oblige after a little chat, that cost me a total of $50
Cheers Jake
