19-08-02, 23:03 GMT+10#47 Due to everyone placing great emphasis on their stomachs... i have now decided to completely remove the rear seats and parcel shelf of my VL and replace it with a rotisary. This rotisary will be capable of handling/cooking even the most largest of farmyard animal. Please feel free to bring along discarded household pets or roadkill that you may find on the way there.

20-08-02, 07:53 GMT+10#48 Skottey man ya stole my idea...
But if yas want to, i can bring down a 4 Burner BBQ... its managed to cope with a few parties at my place so its up to handling the snag & steak requirments of a few VL Drivers... and one VS Driver.

BUY SOME FARKIN TAKE AWAY, der !
bbq = homo, carring an lpg gas bottle in ur car on a cruise = even more homo.
**** off the ****ty idea of this BBQ bull****, ur pissing me off. hahahaha !!!
KFC, Red Rooster, McDonalds, Hungry Jacks, Pizza Hut, Sizzler... fark man.. take ur pick but screw this bloody BBQ idea off for good.
its inappropriate aswell as dangerious on a cruise.
ok... instead of talkin about food.. how about we talk about whos gunna race this time ? and who has helmets ?
also anyone got any cheap 'go fast' ideas..
i personally wont share any of mine, but anyone else got any ? hahaha

20-08-02, 22:18 GMT+10#50 Gees fine... food idea dead.
Now, as for the cruise, i'll be there, yes i'm racing, yes i have 1 helmet.
As for Mods... here's my suggestions... take them how you please, and no offence is intended.
I say don't bother with going to the point of completely stripping out your car back to bare metal, its a total waste of your time and at the end of the day, if it aids in you pulling a 15.5 then all good and well but your also still only driving a stock VL... its no top fueller or anything so if you pull a 15.5 and brag about it, you're only kidding yourself because unless you want to do that every time then you won't get that time again.
Just race it the way you would drive it.... not only is it fair on the others, but wouldn't you get more satisfaction about being able to brag a decent time in stock form, rather than a pathetic time in a gutted car?
Well thats all i've got.

21-08-02, 17:25 GMT+10#51 haha i understand where you're coming from with that one man.
Pretty lame though that now the truth comes out after all your b/s compliments etc when i cracked the 15's though...

My apologies to Mike ( )and Ogre next time i'll run it like i would on the street....ollie in the boot, as much garbage in the rear as possible and on unleaded....
Isn't that the point of taking it out for a run, to see how fast you can get ?
anyway boring...

HA HA HA... that is a good argument Rob...
why do most serious street drag cars run slicks and race fuel at the drags man ?
I swear probably a third of all the cars out there run slicks and front runners as well as race fuel too.
The rajabs claim their car to be a street/drag, which it is, but i bet it wouldn't pull a 9 second run with 2 guys in it, no race fuel and street tyres..
whats wrong with takin out the backseat ?
if u cant afford slicks or awesome fuel. why not look for other areas to maybe gain some hundredths or tenths ?
IF the old JVL 87 was to race the way it drove around during the week, it would be pulling 19 -22 second passes.. as it would most likely include (sterio gear, spare wheel, his entire clothing collection, cd's, and a whole bunch of other ****)
anyway this is kinda pointless.. but u do get my point dont u.. WE GO TO THE DRAGS TO GO AS FAST AS POSSIBLE WITH WHAT WE HAVE. If u have the extra time to do little things like remove weight from the car and do a few lil mods.. why not ???

ouch
1 word - BBQ
i might race, depends if i have tyres and suspension by then, moneys slow, and with all the rain down here i need tyres bad, altho can be fun when u have no control what so ever

21-08-02, 20:48 GMT+10#56 Yeah sorry bout that guys....
I've had a **** week at work and was just venting it on whoever.
I can understand why you want to go so fast... I'd love to strip the VS, throw slicks on, and run low times but working a 10 hour day just doesn't allow for it.

21-08-02, 22:13 GMT+10#57 Yeah exactly Rob..
I personally have the time on w/e's etc to play around with jays car, as in doin little things and then stripping it out a bit for the drags.. it deosnt even take long man, i dont know why u get so worked up about removing a back seat ey.. takes literally 30 seconds if u know what ur doin ?
as for the parcel shelf with speakers.. literally another 1 minute.
boot carpet and spare wheel come out in just under 30 seconds and a chage of rear wheels can be done at 2 minutes per wheel with 2 helpers.
chill pill man.. maybe u should pull ur finger out and give the 'VS' a little workover before u come to the next test'n'tune, should guarantee a 15 then ey mate, specially if strippin it out makes so much difference. lol
hahahaha
CANT WAIT GUYS>> i am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED

22-08-02, 08:05 GMT+10#58 Nah i couldn't be f**ked taking it all out...
And AAMI the SL*T won't let me lower the car, add a steerer, or go extractors...
So basically i have to ditch AAMI before the cruise and add the gear.
Anyway i can't wait either...
And the track won't be open again before the 7th so its probably going to be very busy.
