the best spot for the ex gate is the housing. some new additions couldnt get yellow plates without being full custom and i wasnt going to pay $460 a year for them. thinking about some VZ Calais wheels now aswell. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

most of the time a hole is cut into the housing and then pipe is welded on then the gate attaches to that. there it has a flange for you... who ever made the turbo was smart.

yeh well i was strongly advised NOT to weld onto the housing as it will crack also turns out, vl was running lean, took a vacume hose off the fuel reg as chris (88wagon) said to see if that makes a difference and will make it run rich as, turns out once i did that i got no traction at all in 1st then skated 2nd lol

trent taking the vacume hose off the reg will make the car run run rich at idel it will run at 40psi insted of 32 or whatever its ment to be but as soon as you hit boost having the vacume hose off will cause it to run lean as it will stay at 40psi which is fine na but once positive boost is added into the equation it should be 40psi roughly+ the psi which you are running ie 10psi equals on full boost 50psi of fuel pressure but your still running 40 as you have the vacume line disconnected therefore running lean

oh, bad lol i think il put that back on lol lucky it was only 5psi of boost then

thats probably why it went good cause it was running nice and lean lol.
