if it's a genuine calais why does it have what looks like the aftermarket front end, no black lining down the bottom of the bars, silver sideskirts and no side badges?

he may have had a front ender at some point. the black on the bottom of the bar doesnt mean anything, he probably just didnt bother getting it done when he got the bar resprayed, heaps of people dont. anyone can paint sideskirts silver and remove the badges (it looks to have been resprayed and might not have wanted to put them back on), doesn't necessarily mean its a mockup. then again i could be completely wrong and it may be but it isn't possible to come to a conclusion on those things alone. i remember i saw this years and years ago when i was looking for my first VLCT, tried to get in contact with the guy so i could make him an offer on the car.

if you look at the car it looks like its had a full rebuild very recent the paint looks mmac, an in most cases people in sydney forget to paint the bottom of the calais bars black, an also the seal moulds or side skirts is what you call them look silver but i think there actually black but a bit faded, an ive seen many calais without the badges but it has got the nose cone badge like i said it looks pretty fresh but id prefer the badges no doubt about. and bro my calais 4yrs ago had an after market front there was noway in the world i was going to pay 1000bux for a front, an maybe the have sprayed the whole front on the car an didnt leave the black bits, which is wrong but it doesnt mean it aint a calais. i will say it again it would be a shame if it aint genuine coz it looks very very nice.

Spotted pink single tone calais with LE kit broken down on the side of Ryde Rd this morning on my way to work... Would've stopped to try and help but had to get to work on time, hope it wasn't anything too serious...

Guys car was reprayed a couple months ago in the same colour just for a freshn up (the advantage of being a painter) Its all genuine and also has never been in an accident b4. Badges will go on soon, just looking for some new ones atm. As Vkiller said the photo does not do the car any justice. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

ok well ive never posted in this thread before, never the less living where i live u see about 20 vl turbos daily so i dont bother posting. BUT i have to make a exception.... today at about 4:20pm, driving home from lindfield down the pacific hwy i saw a white exec, now this wasnt just any normal joe blow's exec....let me tell you what this executive had... it had GREEN snakes snakes painted on it, not airbrushed, seemed to be with a spray can or something, silver chasers on the front black chasers on the back with silver dress rims. This car had NOT EVEN A HINT of a LOGBOOK, rust, dings everywhere... IT really really made me upset how someone can do something to such a beautiful model commo

My god I have never seen anything so shocking in my life, it's horrid. ok i got a lil story to tell haha, well tonite after lapa got back to out area pulled up at 7/11 in my bros bt1 to get some things got out just bout to get in the car an these black dudes pull up like black african american, 1 guy jumps out an goes ohh man thats classic very classic, i thought he was bein a smartass i go bro whats your problem he comes up to me an goes look, pulls out this piece of paper out of his pocket an there you go a pic of my brothers bt1 in his pocket looool i couldnt belive it. I go to him like what you doing he goes its classic man classic he loved it an his mates were just circling around it doin like a tribal hummmm dance while hes goin its classic the whole time hahaha i couldnt stop laughing i go mate your the only classic here, he didnt let us go he took my number down he wants to buy a vlt i was lool so much after we left.
