Cardiff did my dirt bike frame. Hoping to do a Hunter cruise soon, my VLT is now registered, great to be back in a light weight VL after being in a VS for four years, next project is a VS ute.

Got a blue slip Friday, hopefully have rego done by the end of the week. Front bar needs paint, so overall it's looking a bit ordinary at the moment. Only going to be driving it once a week for now to keep it running. Needs a tune too after the manifold swap. Will be good to get it out on the road again after 2 years.

Bob I'll be keen for a bit of a run, as long as it's not vls only?

Not quite, just have to keep an eye out. I usually see 2 on tomago road traveling to and from work, one a nice looking gold Calais. But you certainly don't see them around as much these days. I'll be keen to drive mine more once I get it sprayed, looking a bit ordinary at the moment, but it's running and registered so that's a plus.

Sure we can fit in a holden ute, Do you want to plan some routes? Waughy do you wanna borrow a compressor and gun to do your bar? Chuck it in a cup, mix it, practice then spray?

Thanks Bob, but I don't have the patience for such a task, I'd like it done right first time. I know a few people that can do it for a good price, just have to wait for the funds to build back up after what I've spent to get it back on the road. Got a mate might be interested in a cruise if he can make it, owns a pretty sweet LS1 VT Berlina. ---------- Post added 14-09-11 at 13:08 ---------- So who's the dodgy *******s getting chased on Kooragang? My boss just rode past on the way back to work, said three guys had ditched a cream coloured VL with big wheels, and the cops were chasing with guns drawn. Must be pretty serious.

That would have been the old man, he has it at the moment. Looking a bit sad, but when the day comes to get it resprayed it will be worth the wait.

Yeah it looks ok until you get up close, bonnet and front guards are fairly faded. I'm going to get onto it with the polish and see if it helps at all but I'm not thinking it will. Roof was sprayed when the windscreen was done. Interior is very good, motor is going well, it's fun to drive which is good for now.

VL with VZ guard flutes??? Why? Parked at Ocean Baths this arvo, not the best VL around either, but still, why do something like that? That's almost up there Chev badges on V6's. I guess it must be like that, some people actually think it looks good.
