G'day got a suspension question. My LHS front wheel is sitting closer to the rear of the car than my RHS. By at least 10-15mm. This is causing the car to veer left and also more difficult to turn right. I have nulothane strut tops that aren't adjustable. Ive noticed my LHS strut top is sitting 10mm back towards the rear Now the RHS strut is pretty much gone and the LHS ball joint is also gone. Could the LHS flogged out ball joint be causing the LHS wheel to sit back abit. The steering rack is manual and never had a problem. It all started after a coast trip a few years back where i ended up on a bumpy dirty road. Even caused the bleeder bolt to vibrate loose After that road she was never the same Cheers ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????? So have you not had an alignment done since then? I'm sure an alignment would tell you instantly what wasn't right. Sounds like a case of flogged out suspension parts.

Cheers think so. The car is due for a suspension upgrade. Also dont think the front has been aligned since. Could be a good starting point. Cheers

Anyone else had problems with their fuel tank overflowing after removing and refitting it? I have replaced all the breather hoses obviously, but now I can't fill the tank. It'll take around 35-40 litres, but gotta fill it slooooow. Trouble is, if you use that autofill feature on the pump it overflows all over the show. Not cool. I blew backwards through the breather hoses, and you can blow into the tank, so I don't think there are any kinks in the hoses. There is no carbon canister, so is it possible I have stuffed up the hose set up? I had almost no hoses and no canister when I dropped the tank! How big is the standard VL tank? 63 litres? Cheers

Lol I thought it was just me who had this problem Had my tank out and replaced all the hoses (kept the little carbon canister) and I cant get it to fill the complete tank either..... I figured it was because she got a new boot floor which didnt have the same creases/bumps as the old one and was squishing the hoses but maybe not Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

My boot floor hasn't changed. Dammit, means I'm gonna have to drop the tank and take a look. See if you can blow through your hose!

got a stupid question for ya's the other week i was driving along the motorway looked at the dash and suddenly saw the rpm needle drop down to 0 since then it hasnt worked. its got a shift light which connects to the rpm wire to the cluster which is cut and feeds to the shift light and then back out to the cluster any ideas? im thinking i might re connect the rpm wire and do away with the shift light and see what happens. at the moment when the ign is first turned on the rpm needle will go up and tell you what the shift light is set at then goes back to 0 once started it stays on 0rpm Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
