They only got him for being too loud (needs to be 90max dB @ 4800rpm) so he failed the first time. Had 2 make engine look as standard as possible as they take photos of your whole car, bay and underneath and send it away so if there not happy with the way things look they just suspend ur rego. Car was engineered but they didn't care.

Yeah been told to go there. Panel beater friend out that way might be able to do something. I've got two places to try anyway.

Too many nice wheels to pick from, wouldn't go over 19's though, just my personal preference. How's the 6L go Brad? I wanted one but couldn't get the extra $$$ I needed to step up. Still very happy with what I have. Just need a buyer for the VL and I can start the upgrades. Goes great for what it is. OTR, VY HSV 4-1s, twin 2.5 and a twin plate clutch.. Makes 355rwhp and will smoke the tyres in 3rd if you get off the clutch at 6k. I'm happy with it, going to throw some 4.11s in there soon because the gears wind on for way too long, close to 180ks in 3rd, should be doing that in 4th lol

What ratio are the current gears? Is it LSD? Been offered a diff with 3.45s but it's not LSD so I'd have to get them swapped into my diff. Bit of a hassle. I'll be happy with whatever my car puts out once I do my planned mods. I won't get too silly with it.

Been doing some research, thinking I'll look at 3.7's with the auto, if I do change diff gears at all. Apparently 3.45 isn't that much different.

Over having to leg it I didn't even know it was illegal to own a VL in Newy. Is there more to the story?

Yeah it was Blake's old VL. Didn't need a great deal done to it when I bought it, only thing it really needs now is a respray and it should be good for a while until the motor gets tired. I think that's all the new owner has planned, he's keeping it pretty much as is, just a tidy up and paint. Loved the note once I got around to doing the headers and exhaust.
