Yeah wish there were longer straits and i suffered break fade aswell Shane, there where some very tough cars there aswell which was good and more interstate cars then they used to get at sanddown! I'll be there at 11 to fry some more tyres in the cruise section Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I think the turnout still says something, there were plenty of cars entered, plenty of hacks, but still alot of cars. And there were plenty of spectators who drove 2.5-3 hours to watch a bunch of guys just do a few skids.

I had a good time, and so did everyone i was with. I thought the turn out was reasonable given what has happened in the past 2 years. For all of the people whinging and complaining; the only way for events to get better is to support them, or they disappear. ---------- Post added 25-04-11 at 18:55 ---------- Awesome vid Brett. Your Torana looked tuff as, shame about some of the slow traffic

I thought it was really good. Track was nice. Only thing is I didn't go too hard as I had driven up and didn't want to get stranded 3hrs from home without a trailer. At least at Sandown you could go nuts knowing a tow home would only set you back $100 or so. Overall I think its a better venue for competitors with heaps for track time but no way near as good for spectators due to lack of seating ect

I was hoping to get through round 1 but I knew that if I came up against a V8 I would get smoked. The set up takes a while to build boost, only got it up to around 3psi on the transbrake by the time the light went green and by the time I came on boost the other torana was way in front. I was reeling him in pretty hard but couldn't get there by the end. The other one runs 124mph so gives me some hope... just need a prepped track and some more boost off the line.

i went up the whole weekend..... winton is good if you are an entrant, or know someone who is an entrant.... heaps of track time, no waiting, track marshalls not as strict, burnout pad was good u could sit in there for as long as u wanted no one blowing whistles telling you to hurry up. camping was also good, fun continues all night aswell as all day. however, from a spectators point of view.. over priced, no seating at all, lots of cops... one of my mates just had a hip operation 2 weeks ago and there was no where at all for him to sit. the drags and go to whoa were good to watch, also the kids cruise was enjoyable aswell. i found the burnouts to get boring pretty quickly as it was hard to see with so many people in the way and no seats / grand stand. 2 cops on a pushbike tried to do us for unregistered vehicle driving from the pits to the camping ground even though that road is inside wintons gates and is not a signed public road. cops were a joke, they wanted to fine us and make us park it and walk back to get a car with a trailer. we told them to **** OFF and just drove off on them.

good to hear it wasnt just us that copped it in the pits, chris was about to go on the track in the carport area u line up in about to go onto the track and he got done for unreg false plates and no licence, cops were a joke they r like stay here we hav to look into this more and his like **** that went out on the track lol track marshalls were worse than sandown to me tho bro, and they r all arogant pricks that wanted to punch on but when i jumped outta the car they calmed down pretty quick
