27-02-11, 10:20 GMT+10#64 Congrats on getting the car sorted Troy, good to see you finally bloody finish a car and enjoy it Did you end up making any more power yet? And when are you taking it to the track? One of my customers with 600rwhp on 98 went 130-133?mph a few weeks ago on street tyres, not sure how the pass was as I wasn't there but you should easily be into the mid 130's to low 140's depending on how well you can drive
On the Mr Turbo debate, I have sold 20-30 of them and had a number of failures, mainly leaking water into the oil thru the back plate O ring. I haven't sold them for a few years now as I couldn't handle all the bullsh1t and lies while Ricky was there, being told 2 weeks and taking 16, but I have to say that the turbo on my corolla never had a single issue, Mark always was spot on with repairing anything straight away and willing to do custom things you couldn't get done anywhere else, and personally I like the product. I have been told by someone I respect that uses them quite a lot that in the past 12-18 months they have been refined and the range streamlined and come a long way.
At the end of the day its hard for a small company to R&D anywhere near as fast or as well as a big company like garrett, its great to see an australian company having a go, we all have our f uck ups and it sounds like mark is heading in the right direction
Back on topic, hurry up and put 30psi in that thing troy, my 1G with a manual in it would almost be catching you

27-02-11, 10:41 GMT+10#65 The way your thing spools it would leave mine for dead!
The power your making out of that motor is unreal
It's so good to finally have the car sorted n running great
Pete is by far the best tuner I've eva been to and he helps out with everything, not just tuning
Organized my radials, roadworthy, suspension, plugs ect
Mine will either b run 2day or 2moro night
Might look at taking it to the track Wednesday night if I can get the day off, no sat tnt this week
I told pete I'd prob run a 13@140mph lol
He said he'd kick me out n drive it if I did lol
Radials should help, 255/50/16, will prob change the coilovers to as they are far to hard
But 30lb should b interesting, prob b somewhere around 800hp

02-04-11, 17:55 GMT+10#69 Car made over 700rwhp @ 23 last night with wheelspin
Made 730@27 with a ****load of wheelspin n the tyres near blowing again
Need some decent tyres!
Won the supra club dyno day with 607rwhp n with it starting to wheelspin from about 135-140kph
The car has some serious balls!
It's an 800+rwhp car easy as
Thought the motor was stuffed cause it was makin noises but turns out it's the flywheel bolts

04-04-11, 17:26 GMT+10#77 post a vid of the dyno run?
---------- Post added 04-04-11 at 17:29 ----------
I dont get it made over 700 on matts dyno which from my understanding isnt the highest reading dyno around, but 600 at the dyno day??

04-04-11, 18:11 GMT+10#78 It's never been on matts pits dyno
It only gets tuned by pete at pro torque
Highest figure pete seen was 730
Car would just wheelspin n let the tyres go so figures kept changing
Highest I seen was 718
Changed tyres at the dyno day to 2 other STD 16x8 rims with 225/50 tyres which where different treads n not much tread n didn't hav them pumped up either
They were spinning very easily!
Not sure if any1 took a vid of the run, will check
Will take some pics soon, will put up an engine shot now

05-04-11, 11:32 GMT+10#79 So it lost 120-130hp from dyno to dyno but with wheel spin.
I have no doubt it has made wicked power just drive it Troy, you will have to show us a video of it "spinning" the tyres @ 130k

05-04-11, 11:52 GMT+10#80 Tyres at the dyno comp were alot worse than the tyres used at pete's
They were pretty worn already
Shouldn't hav even used them but didn't hav time to put my 18s from the front onto the back
Will hav to try n get some1 to follow me n film it
We prob break traction higher than 130
