Going by what the owner/ driver of the car has stated there is one confirmed that i know of that uses an RD: Envy Motorsports R33: http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showth...ht=rd28&page=2 (http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showthread.php?t=191851&highlight=rd28&page=2) Given the fact you've commented many times in the thread above, i thought you would of known by now. What are the advantages? Well that is anybodies guess but the owner of the blue R33 seems to be happy with where the car is at thus using one. There are claims they are stronger and a better built block. Who is using an RD28 in the VL scene i don't know and same goes for who is running a stroker. Whether or not it (Motortech VL) is running nos or an rd block is irrespective, the guys ran a 7, can't see too many laying such a claim.

There's a heap more left in her too so watch out!"

what a clean launch, car pulled hard straight off the line. The fact that this car could pass as a streeter and retains the single cam, gets my attention. Good to see the single cam developments live on...Congrats

Imo it stops being an RB once you stop using the RB block, fair enough right? Are these RD blocks making 1500rwhp+? The standard block can still handle high power as evidenced by RIPS engines, for a start, not to mention the maatouks boys.

it makes sense to use a borg warner with an auto.. easy on the diff and weighs a lot less... once you go clutchless the borg warner wouldnt stand a chance.. but the auto is in it and its impressive!!

The initial clutch dump off the 2 step is what would kill them aith a clutchless

I don't own one, but from what i have seen i think your correct, the clutchless would apply less driveline stress than a h pattern, but auto are still far less brutal again with the transbrake cheers darren

hey guys just wondering if anyone knows what motortech or maatouks do to there borgwarner diffs to make them handle so much power! I have a mate who has just made 1025 on the eng dyno on the first couple of passes, surely will make more! A 3 speed from the states will be going in, but we just need to sort out the diff?

maybe call motortech champ and ask them ? theres not a real lot of parts to a diff centre so the gearing has probably been cryo treated maybe some billet axles a spool and a custom diff cover thats about it unless there are aftermarket heavy duty gear sets for them.
