I also don't understand why all that **** is important to you in an N/A VL? It's like trying to look tough with some gauges that make people think homg boost.. but really its just A:F Ratio.

If it's not turbo'd, why would you need any other gauges but whats already in your cluster? Maybe if you're running a drift car thats N/A or something, but we're clearly not talking about track cars here.

Why have two gauges doing the same thing?
And if your not refering to vl's and refering to cars in general, more than 95% of cars these days include volts oil pressure and temp.
So i don't see a valid reason as to add extra gauges? They serve no purpose but if your into that kinda thing then 'meh'.
My sl cluster has no oil pressure, volts or tacho
i like to no how hard im pumping it when doing skids & how my batts going...
dont see anything wrong with having gauges on a n.a .... unless its a boost gauges.. then thats stupid

What more would you need to know than Oil Pressure, Volts and Temp? I can POSSIBLY understand a gauge or two on those cars, but on milads? Sorry.. milad has a nice car, but nothing a VL Cluster can't do.

put bluntly, the standard VL cluster as about as accurate as a rubber ruler.
the same goes for most OE guage assemblies. so if the car has a known Excessivley wrong guage, why not put an aftermarket on..

19-07-10, 18:33 GMT+10#73 get over it, if you want to have gauges, go for it, no one is stopping you, its your car at the end of day

Very true but at the same time... why not fix it? like WHTGMH has said if its what you want then go for it, but when I see an N/A with 3 or 4 different gauges u better bet on losing all respect for it lol.

Oops we're talking about cars, my bad.

So are you ONLY refering to VL's when talking about NA's or is that in general?

Generally yeah I am, thought I would keep it to that as much as possible on a VL forum, but it can still apply to say.. stock 6 VR auto's with a 5" tacho on the dash, that's just pure wank factor.

19-07-10, 20:06 GMT+10#77 exactly my point i dont get it when i see gauges in a non turbo any car tho i can understand track cars but not cars tht are driving around the streets

19-07-10, 20:19 GMT+10#78 Much like you have a fuel guage or temp guage in your car albeit factory, does someone that has a non turbo car not want to keep an eye on oil, temp etc.
So basically you're saying the any car that doesnt have forced induction is not worthy of having guages nor in need of them.

19-07-10, 20:24 GMT+10#79 no im just saying if they want to see that why dont they go and get a working cluster with all that in it i did and i dont need any big ass gauges in my car and cops love vl commodores now i dont want them to love it any more

19-07-10, 20:30 GMT+10#80 haha, you do realise that a few degrees on the temp guage could be = to 1/4 on the original cluster, and Im not sure if you have a turbo or not but have you looked at the oil pressure guage bouncing up and down. Not very accurate.
After shutting down due to me noticing on my autometer guage that I had no/little oil pressure, you can have your factory guage(your engine builder will love you)
