Yeah, I had been waiting 2 hours from the time of entering the track to actually doing a lap. Then being told 70kmh max during the lap, I was a little devo to say the least.
At the end of the lap there was a huge area to the left with burnouts all over it. I moved to the side looked to make sure no one was too close and did a nut. (no rocks on other cars, no danger to anyone)
Then this guy was running at my car and kicked the rear bumper, then he runs into my window swinging at me and seriously having a go. I was like wtf!
Another guy came over during this, yelling abuse at me and was trying to take my keys. I said "easy guys, Im sorry, I had seen smoke coming from here all afternoon and thought it was ok".
During this apology they took my keys and damaged my mirror, scratched my paint and generally abused me.
I then felt I had no option but to get out of my car and get my keys back as I didnt want any further drama from them.
Threats were made to impound my car and the cops were being called. I then yelled at the guy with my keys (as any of you guys would have done too).
Once I got my keys, one of the guys tried to stand in front of my car and yelled abuse at me.
He then stopped and said I had hit him, which was bs, so I drove around him slowly.
I then parked my car, and went to see my mate who had been waiting 2 hours for a hotdog.
2hrs to get in! 2hrs for food, 40 mins to get out of city, Show and shine? Organisers NOT returning my emails in regards to entry of the Burnout Comp? Not being told at any time before my lap that it was only 70kmh on track.
Dont think anyone would have lined up for 2hrs if they knew it was 70kmh and one lap.
I apologise for my donut in a separated area of a RACETRACK.
Sorry!
(I have witnesses to the behaviour of these guys and images of the damage they caused to my car)
ahk, i thought it might have bin a seperate event. i actualy talked to the guy after this all happened and he was pretty reved up about it all but the officials rely did go over the top about it all. sure they might not have wanted people to have fun but ffs 1. its a f*cking race track 2. this is why everyone signed on the dotted line saying they take responsibility for their actions and 3. why the f*ck would anyone wait 2-3 hours to put around a RACE TRACK at 70km/h - its a fu*king joke!!!!!
if anyone wants to see c4c held next year and have anyone actualy turn up some real changes have to be made, last 2 years have both bin ****

I thought last year was half decent. Just a mess when it came to leaving the park. And bad weather.
the officials in the tower clapped and waved when i ran wide and dipped the front left wheel off the track, at the other end they werent so happy as i came out of the last apex in 3rd and rode boost the whole way up to the top of the hill.

call it 155 then.
or call it fast enough to make everyone **** themselves.
wouldnt have done it if i didnt have my big brakes and nathan in the front seat telling me what corners were coming.
he said in the tight right hander where i went off he wasnt scared, but was genuinely scared when we came down from 4th in that last turn

Last year was fine... Bad weather can't be helped at the Motorplex.
The cruise this year was fine, it was the entry into Barbagello that wasn't. 45 mins to get in, 45 mins waiting to get on the track was pathetic.
As for the guy who did the burnout/nut and the official went off, while I don't agree with the way the official reacted and damaged his car/took keys etc, the guy was asking for trouble. It's a race track yes, but they CLEARLY said max 70kms an hour. If you didn't like that, then don't go on the track! Simple.
This guys basicaly said 70kms? **** that I'll do what I wan't. It's pretty safe to assume that if 70kms/hr is the max speed you can do, then burnouts probably aren't allowed. Yes everyone was doing them, but if everyone jumped off a bridge would he have done that too?
At the end of the day, you let bogans in commodores on a race track and burnouts will happen, so I doubt that the event will ever happen at Barbagello again. I don't know why they couldn't just have given everyone the form to go on the track when you paid your money and then you could have just handed it to them before you went on the track. would have been much faster. Looked like they let cars out on the track once every 2 mins!
I won't ever take the walky to C4C again. Too many ****heads in cars who think they know how to drive and entering into barbagello and doing that stupid lap up the top and back on an unsealed road... yep great for any type of car with a decent paint job. I turned around at the top and left.
