It is tight, but probably not as tight as it looks in that photo, there's at least 20mm clearence everywhere.

50mm ID (2") out of both sides, then single 65mm ID to the turbo. That second bend on the passenger side actually merges from 50mm to 65mm. All bends and piping have 5mm walls

26-06-10, 18:55 GMT+10#67 ive said it before and ill say it again.. *** awesome car, the more i look at it, the more i love it..
just our of curiosity, at the back were you got the starter, do you ever have issues with it not working after driving? reason being because ive seen some not work as they get too hot, and i'd imagine that would generate some heat

PSI-EFI, yeah the starter does get a bit slow if i've been giving it a hard time or driven it for a while it generally starts, but has caught me out a couple of times where i need to give it 10 mins rest
heat wrap or coated pipes has been on the agenda since it was built but i just CBF
jayb, nothing is visible from the bay.

ahhh, was wondering about that to, as all my mates with there solid strokers
in early commordores all have the same prob's, spent many a time waiting for them in a carpark till the starter cools, to go for a cruise. Probally a worse prob again with there big comp motors i would have thought though.
cheers

Is there any efficiency/performance difference between the bosch 'green giant' 42lb injector you are running to the older 'green top' style? Is it worth buying the later style for the extra couple $$.. thanks

Marzella, in theory, the Bosch EV6 injector has better atomisation and at a wider range of rail pressures, ie they're quite happy to operate at 30psi upto about 150psi, where as the EV1 style injector is designed to run at a certain pressure and works best at that pressure, having said that in the real world as long as you run the EV1 at a pressure somewhere near where it was designed for, there really is less than a bee's dik in it.

Went and saw Paul from Keas autos back when he was fresh out of the game and he gave me all the info i needed to build it, its basically a freshen with a heap of oil supply and valvebody mods.
