30-04-10, 19:29 GMT+10#61 Heathcote was the perfect location for this event, the LSX nationals were held there the week before the vlt nats, and the ANDRA spec thing was a big factor also, as well as Heathcote going up for auction again, that may have been the last chance to run anything there, as well as it was pretty much the closest track to South Australia, i've been told Calder aint much of a track anyway, and all the messing around ive heard coming from Bob Jane (or whoevers pulling the strings) it just wasnt worth dealing with.
Plenty of peeps broke PB's at Heathcote and everyone was on the same level field, they all had to put up with the track conditions.
Someone put up a poll with "which is the best drag strip in oz" and "which drag strip would you like to see the 2011 VLT NATS held at" then everyone can vote and voice their opinions.

Was a brilliant event, and definitely something that should happen again if you can pull it off Steve. Thoroughly enjoyed meeting people, particularly Oliver, who was kind enough to introduce me most of the mod crew. Also to Luke, for putting up with hangover and moaning about my lack of car.
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

02-05-10, 23:11 GMT+10#63 Because I loved this event so much, I am now dedicated to building a motor to start drag racing with, hopefully in time for the next round of racing haha! Nothing spastic, Just something to race and then improve our times bit by bit.
Although I never met anyone off here, apart from some of the Maatouk's Crew, I will buy a Calais Turbo hoodie and pretend I know everyone at next years event :P
