Really how far did you have to drive? I know of people there who drove 25+ hrs to trailer cars down from QLD to race. They're not bitching about the weather or it cost to much. They're prepared to pay for the fuel and accom and the weekend away to have a go, not to mention the tens of thousands on thier cars.
So if you're upset just cry into your pillow tonight or better yet tell your boy friend! The amount of organisation that goes into these things is unbelievable. It was the first of its kind and the weather didn't help, but it's sure to get bigger and better as the years go on. So instead of crapping on the event maybe offer a few suggestions on how to improve it for next year.
Good work to all the guys that put the event together and for the people that showed up. See ya next year.
to true brother,, thought it was a great day an worth the 2 hour trip there an 2 hours bak just to watch such high quality cars race,, loved it

There is one on the firewall but another fourteen riveted to the boot floor!

What was with the almost twin car to SHER1F, BT1 plated HDT?

I thought it was pretty mint. Didn't bother racing mine but sat it in the show n shine all Sunday. Only problem was the cops, but snuck out the back way and made it home sweet. Good event I reckon, can't wait for the next one.

sad to see some guys didn't enjoy saturday? yeah it rained but i got a gander at some cars and enjoyed the trip up so it was worth it. just good to sit behind the wheel of the vl for a while with a few mates.
$25 was cheap as. easternats was way more than that and i remember being blown away by the cost. in fact i thought 25 was good and $40 for a daypass show n shine was well worth the extra $15.
anyone get any more piccs? photobucket links? any of mine?

drove zzz-087 from mornington to heathcote and back (nothing compared to some of the interstate boys) and had an awesome weekend! nothing like kicking back watching the races, getting hit with a belt off the car u were sitting in LOL! and just the all round great time.
DUF-588, was out there consistant as anything! well done, spoke to chris he said they were having slight problems but u get that when ur out there testing different things. We'll see a 9 out of it yet.
TOT - 747, amazing watching this thing smash gears had good MPH behined it too
just 2 of the many favourites i watched without blinking, but in a tired state atm (5 hours sleep all weekend) i cant remember....much really.
Congrats to all the people who ran great times and MPH, well done! lets hope we see bigger and better things.
things that sort of annoyed me.
russels son got more passes out there on the stupid 250cc bike than any vl did
the monaro and valiant that rocked up
and the commentator just being so disrespectful to cars, like saying over the P.A "ohh this and this car is leaking oil, this and that car is leaking water" like as if he saw it from the box obviously some1 ran up there to tell him, like that person couldn't walk up to the car just quietly and tell them.
well done to everyone involved most of the people i was with all had a great weekend, and bring on the next VLT nationals!!!

Not to sure of everone that was down there in in the 'SHER1F' Team but between them you wont find to many people with the knowledge that they have from turbos to super chargers. Hell I think Johnny might even know a thing ot two about cars besides how to drive one
I see Harry 'master detailer' Nicolas off to the left in one of the SHER1F pics...no wonder the car looked so bloody good.

looks like it was a good event. Also just to reply to an earlier comment, the turbo on the QSR Gemini is a GT45 (unless they have changed it)

Made the trip down from the ACT to watch...
Rocked into the gate at like 10am sat morning. Was looking bleak with the weather. Then the first VL's started running and the entire trip was worth it.
Steve, kudos mate it was awesome weekend.
Just a question where the fuck was all the Melbourne people? I guy busts his balls to deliver a specific class event, of which we are all fans and the turn out was piss poor. Heathcote should of been packed to the brim. The those of you who couldn't be bothered or would rather spend the $25 bust'n down to the markets to get another pair of kappa pants instead, get your dicks out of your hands. If you don't support the people who support you, events like this cannot continue.
Steve buddy I woulda paid $50 a day to be a spectator. Some of the fastest VL's in Aus get all out of shape at the top end of the track. Just awesome.

Was an awsome weekend but seriously if I had to watch one more ****ty burnout or 16 second run from that bloody kid! Seriously let the paying entrants have more runs.
