Listed as WOVR so theoretically it can just be re-registered.

03-03-11, 13:08 GMT+10#64 no compliance plates...ouch
if it's on the register even as a repairable it's effectively a stat write off in NSW
looks like a parts only car

But they look like they are still on the car. My mate is looking at it today, to check that its worth purchasing as a restore or maybe a pretty decent mock.

03-03-11, 14:28 GMT+10#66 yeh they do look like they are there but maybe it's the HSV one that's missing or maybe they've been removed now as it's written off?
lots of nice parts though, shame
just make sure it's not a stat write off unless you get it cheap as

19-04-11, 10:05 GMT+10#69 Hi Boys.
Newbie to the site - I have an SV88 and want to add it to the roll call.
Silly Q= where do I locate the build #. It has HSV plates on the firewall.

19-04-11, 16:41 GMT+10#70 The HSV plate will have the build number on the top line. It is in the format of 5 digits with your cars build number being the first 3 digits with a letter and number following it.

19-04-11, 17:44 GMT+10#71 Great info. I will Check it out and get back.
I have owned this car since '95 and as the story goes..... Got married and put it up on blocks. It has been garaged at my oldies for last 6 years. But that was better than selling my pride 'n joy.
Cheers corsa. I will look into the build#

26-04-11, 15:48 GMT+10#72 Looks like I am in possession of one on your list......
Build# 111 reportedly last seen early 90's.
I have QLD plates which I bought for her in late 90's "OSV88"
I bought it @'95 and drove it until '04.
My passion has been reignited. I have just spent Easter cleaning out my garage to get it out of my old's and back home. Time to get it registered again.

Mine has 5 numbers then a letter followed by number.

The SV88 was special in that they added 88 to the front of it, so yes it is build number 111.

13-12-11, 20:24 GMT+10#77 Ring HSV and tell them you want to verify a VL SV88 and supply them with the tag number. (eg. L123456)
If it is an SV88 with the two credit card sized plates missing then there should also be evidence of where the HSV build plate used to be. The radios do not have SV88 on them but there should be an SV88 badge on the dash above the glovebox.

19-12-11, 23:09 GMT+10#79 More likely they couldn't be bothered looking it up.
They found the F20 eventually many years ago and i know they checked an SV CC recently when pushed. All their 17 digit VIN vehicles are on computer (VN onwards) and for the VL they only seem to like verifying the 750 Walkinshaw models as the rest of them are listed seperately.
