RB20 would of been be terrible man - theres actually a thread on CT telling people not to do it lol. You'd need the 4.11 diff gears just to make it move. Good to see u stuck with the 30 in the end.

Ok so we just brought a VN SS, so this will not be ready for c4c. Been working on the ss and have no time to finish this. Currently getting a rwc on the ss to transfer it into my name. Since this won’t be ready for c4c, I will let you all know what is getting done; otherwise it will be longer you will have to wait. So here goes Engine work was done at a shop in Melbourne. Here is what is on the receipt: Head is 55.5cc Valve spring set Cam Turbo ST2, Crow Cams Degrease Block Linish a Crankshaft, STD Size Bore & Hone Block, 1mm Oversize Drill out oil plugs on crank & retap for Screw in plugs Dis, Ass & Align rods Balance Engine Surface block Reco Head, Fit turbo Ex Valves Supply & fit K-Line guides, Ex only Assemble to long engine Match porting on In, Ex Valve seat inserts, Turbo heavy duty Water pump Con-rod bearing set, ACL Performance Main bearing set, ACL Performance Ex valve RB30 Nissan Oil pump Nissan Hi Volume Full gasket set Head gasket, Race series turbo, Connetec Timing belt RB30 Nissan Belt tensioner RB30 Nissan Valve Lifter, RB30 Nissan ARP Head stud Kit RB30 Welch Plugs, Brass Piston Forged Nissan RB30, Flat tops 1mm That’s the engine side of things. The 5 speed was also Reco’d. Now for what’s getting bolted to it Custom high mount twin turbo steampipe manifold R33 GTR Turbo’s (Gates welded closed) 50mm External Wastegate 2 ” Dump pipes into 3” Exhaust with Hi-Flow cat Front mount intercooler 600x400x100 Along with: Microtech x6 ignition module (Already have) Microtech Lt16’s Injectors Coil Packs Fuel system 28 Spline LSD (Already Have) Maybe some other stuff. The Lt16’s, coil packs and the software etc I’m getting as a package. Still need to get them plus Injectors and fuel system. Have also got the lower side skirts for the body kit, just need to chase up the front and rear lower lip. I’m smoothing the bay, Hiding the wiring and painting the bay also when I do the engine swap. I have just spent a fair bit and brought all braided lines from Luke at missile performance (Duke57TT) I can say that his stuff is top quality and will never buy any other stuff. Very easy to use and make the lines up. He is a great guy with good communication, fast postage and great prices! He is by far one of the best sellers on CT. Anyways, there is some info you can read, I hope you will all enjoy it and I can say, I can’t wait to have this all up and running. I wouldn’t mind seeing what power this thing will make. Cheers Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

cheers mate, Only just fits in the bay... I had to move the wastegate to the front as it wouldn't fit where it was. Came of an r31, so just had to mod it a little. Heres a ****ty pic of when I had it sitting in the bay. p.s. The bay wont be staying like that, It will be getting all hidden wiring, smoothed and painted before the built motor goes in. Hot side I sprayed with a can of black as I scratched the hell out of it whilst getting the manifold in and out when modifying it . Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I dont know how good merging those two turbo outlets into a much bigger single pipe is... I recon it'd pretty terrible for airflow though.

hey morgz, yeah thats how i brought the kit, but it made some decent figures in the r31 it came from what would you suggest to do there instead? ---------- Post added 17-07-11 at 12:43 ---------- Been doing a bit more too the setup (Modifying) Made up most of the dump pipes. I ran out of welding rods tho, so i'm going to get some more and make up the rest of it. I dare say next weekend if I get the chance. ---------- Post added 17-07-11 at 14:43 ---------- . ---------- Post added 17-07-11 at 14:57 ---------- heres the dyno sheet from the previous owner when it was on his r31 Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

well just been out playing with this. I have decided to run twin t3 turbo's instead. They are a little bigger but not by much. So I will have to change the flanges on the manifold as the t28's are a little smaller.

Hey guys, Decided to stick with the t28's. Just finished making up the dump pipes, Now to make a 3" section to go from them to the cat. All the hard work is sorted with the 2 dump pipes joining into 1 with them separating from each other by a flange and a slip joint. I did this as it's a pretty tight fit in the engine bay and you can only put 1 dump pipe in at a time. Now that this is unregistered, I have decided to sell the walkinshaw kit. I have another shell there that only needs a few little things: Fix guard and paint and a few other odd little jobs. So will get that shell upto N/a and register it, Then put the twin turbos on it. Will be a stock looking vl with no body kit.
