You're right Katsa, not much around in the way of HDT vehicles atm. As you say it does seems to be a seller's market.

Don't know if you've seen this SV88 Katsa? Looks fairly original but could do with a bit of TLC in a few areas http://australianmusclecarsales.com....v88?query=sv88 (http://australianmusclecarsales.com.au/muscle/138875-vl-hsv-sv88?query=sv88)

well I can confirm #4098 the old AVOHDT is alive, but very very unwell Factory black HDT Calais Turbo Sport, sunroof, scheel seats etc Build #4137 is the only one missing out of in my opinion the 4 rarest and most desirable VLTs

Surely the IRS director would have to be one of those two.

As stated MY OPINION is hdt #3533, hdt #3473, hdt #4137 and hdt #4098 are the 4 in question. I may have worded it wrong and be wrong in assuming that 4 documented factory black vlt HDT are not desirable. The IRS director is not a VLT but even talking vls as a whole there were 9 directors but only 4 1koo1-d HDT models. Im pretty sure there are more then 4 HSV F20's too which I do believe are a rarity too but as stated was simply my opinion on what I thought were very desirable vlts and rare at that. In saying that we have known where 3473 and 3533 have been/are owned by but the 2 black sports have vanished off the face of the earth. As said the above was my opinion

As said the above was my opinion I thought you may have been just referring to the 4 Black Turbo's. Only 2 of the F20 model built. How many of the similar looking SV CC variant were built is another story. Supposed to be one 3L one and I have confirmed 3 Turbo's with a possible fourth one as well. SV CC models I know at least continued into the VN and VQ range. As for the Director model (all V8) the answer isn't 9 built unless maybe the question is how many customer cars were built. To the best of my knowledge there were 14 built although two of them changed spec levels before being sold by HDT, leaving another 12 Directors with the first two wearing LE kits and the third being the car that was unveiled ending the relationship between Brock and Holden. I have seen 8 of the 14 in person which includes the two that changed spec and 4 of 5 IRS equipped versions. Corsa

yeah Corsa I was referring to the 4 black HDT's, but like I said was simply my opinion. Thanks for clarifying the director numbers, I wasn't exactly sure how many. Mark - you DO NOT want to see pics of her at the moment mate, never the less, one very very rare car and years of vlt affiliation led me to the find, now just gotta hunt down #4137 As for more info on #4098 - Factory tuxedo black hdt Calais turbo sport Electric sunroof Color coded momo stars Le side skirts Le rear bar le bobtail spoiler Group a front air dam Sports seats (front only) scheels with Calais trim inserts Black chrome (chrome strips/moulds where option black for this one) Auto My question to corsa, should this car have a polarizer?

Also HDT invoice back in march 1987 was just over 10,000 for this car. That's a lot of money for then! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
