how bout calaisturbo and various other forums organise a cruise for protest against the closure of easternats. I could tell you right now that it would attract people of all shapes and sizes. If 25,000 people attend easternats im sure if we had 1/3rd of the cars cruising it may also atract some media attention. Problem is who is game enough to organise such an event.

Get every organizer from each modified car forum in Melbourne to meet up one night and talk it through. Ive been to a hand full on cruises and mini meets and each has attracted big numbers. If a member from each club organized it and pulled it off there would easily be in excess of 500 cars.

Yeh im sure all of us could unite and do something big! Protest/cruise wot ever! Either way none of us are happy about this and they cant just take away the things we enjoy!

Apart from the few vocal minority, the residents don't have anything against Easternats. The problem is with the MRC, direct your anger at them as they are the ones who cancelled the permit, not the residents.

Need to work out a time,date,place then we can advertise it on all the forums/car clubs etc! Maybe repco can help. Rob

il be more then happy to put my hand up and organise such an event and we can also get donations to charity from the cruise so it is a good event and the media cant really pin us for hooning! and if they try we can always fight fire with fire

everytime something like this happens everyone gets all rowdied up and ready to protest but like i said before, nothing will happen but if something is organised whatever it is il be there Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

yeah well if everyone pulls there finger out and comes it will happen! i just need people to help me to get things going! i will start contacting other forum owners to assist in my planning of this cruise and i will ask everyone what day and where they want to start this cruise and i will try organise it if steve(sirgeo) approves
