Very impressive fabrication work in your cage ISL33P. Very similar design to what I had in mind for mine if I end up getting one done. Looks like you really don't lose any boot space either which is even better for a street car

Thanks I will pass it on, I'm sure he appreciates the feedback. Spot on...I plan on taking the family on trips in this car so I need all the boot space I can get.

that one looks good, nice and tight to the roof, where was it done? Also, does anybody have the 2 rear bars that go into the boot running down the side of the back window (like the front) or is there some reason they have to be through the middle of the back window?

ACKER, that looks awesome! Do you have pics of the backseat? I'm interested to see how your backseat is modified to suit the rear bars. I've been told that running the rear bars the same as the front isn't preferable because they have a greater chance of folding in a roll over. Ideally, that's what I'd like to do, but it may not happen. Edit: I have now seen ISL33P's bar under the parcel shelf, and will be taking the picture with me tomorrow to show Rai. Colins cage is exactly as you are talking about. Ultimately I'd be more concerned about the front of the cage crushing in a crash, not the rear, a bar under the parcel tray is not only helpful, but needed, as when the cage bars are out this wide (ie like the front bars, right against the rear pillars) they have to bend inwards just thru the parcel shelf as the tubs are in the way. That bend would be more of a concern then the width, but the 2 things I'd do personally, no, make that 3 things, is run a bar under the parcel tray, weld steel back around the bars where they go thru the parcel tray so the bars are welded TO the parcel tray where they pass thru and lastly, run some little gussets at the top corner of the rear bar onto the rear pillars. These few things would make it far more structual, if you bend that, your already screwed. 6BOOST Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
