Fair enough, I've always thought of eyebrows or eyelids as the Calais head light covers

12-01-09, 10:22 GMT+10#76 Don't waste your money, if they aren't captive it won't pass a WOF. Cutting or compressing shortens the spring and legally they aren't any different

12-01-09, 11:41 GMT+10#78 What's the difference between compressed and cut?
I had a chat to Mark Stoke (Low Volume Certifier) about this and as far as he’s concerned the springs are either captive or they aren’t. Doesn’t matter if they are factory springs, lowered springs, cut or compressed springs

12-01-09, 13:12 GMT+10#80 There are only a few certifiers around. I think there is one guy in Hamilton tho. The LTNZ/LTSA or whatever they call themselves now used to have the contact details on thier site. Try googling "low volume vehicle certifiers" or something.
