Patches, need some pics of the interior that don't just show off your 28 gauges. Is it the 87 or the 88 calais interior?

kyle buddy ol' pal ill get some pics of the interior for you i'd have no idea if its 87 or 88... what are the differences?

few easy ways to tell the differance, 1. Air vents are colour coded on the dash, not black likemost VL's 2. rear headrest pins are colour coded also, and the pins are closer together than the 86/87 series ones. 3. back of the front seats is stretchy and not solid. Only find that in some late 87 and all 88 model calais' from memory... check it out!

little bit of an update dropped the the car off at maatouks this arvo and getting the following: -Battery moved to the boot into the right hand side compartment -Full service -Chrome door handles put on so the engine bay should loook nicer and the car should run perfect when it comes back Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

another update. while being serviced they found out that compression was low in 2 and 4 so they're taking the head off it to see whats the go hopefully nothing too major...

It's back now running perfectly -starts first turn now -chrome handles are on and look good -battery in the boot also made 174.5rwkw on 10psi.... so we worked out why it didnt make much power on 14psi.... also turns out my engine is a turbo engine not an n/a one too it goes hard now... later on may wind it up a little bit more... but waiting on the 900 from the government then it'll have a full 3inch exhaust system on it Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

N/A runners and a N/A rocker cover.... lot of effort to make a A8 look like a A6. Maybe it was just rebuilt to turbo specs?

it was 7FOUR7's old car and was sold wit his engine to the mechanic i bought it off... it may have been rebuilt to turbo specs but maatouks told me that inside it had all the turbo gear...

they prob just did a compression check, hell - if they had the head off they would have seen the pistons for themselves! Just as good as a RB30ET anyway, except for maybe the oil pump / cam. Annyywaayyy, skid photos!

yeh cause when they took the head off it had the turbo pistons inside it skids are naughty kyle, but i was practising last night to do launches and evne holding it at about 2200 then getting off the brake just instant wheelspin

so is sex before marriage. And as for this "instant" wheelspin, i don't belive it until you show me photo evidence!

well im not sure how to describe it... i got off the brake the car took off with the ass sideways and with smoke coming from the tyres and lovely sound of rubber trying to grab hold of bitumen
