shame dude. i spose you wont know too much about the running gear and the interior for a little while but hopefuly they werent damaged too badly and you could just fix up another calais body.

Mustve hit something/ruts in the road as it just got more forceful and in the end we couldnt control her and were being driven by the force of the trailer. Felt like we were the ball in a game of pingpong between two trucks it was that strong signed, the missus

Its so easy to get a trailer off balance, simply by over correcting, i've seen it a few times around where i work.

freak accidents happen unfortunatley. trailers without suspension are more prone to it happening. trailers with electric brakes and suspension are best if you can afford them, with electric brakes if they start to sway you can pull the brakes on the trailer from inside the tow car bring it back straight. i nearly lost the cressida on a non suspension trailer with cable rbake setup, not a nice feeling. glad you and the girl are ok

Thats terrible, but at least it did'nt pull your car off the road aswell with you in it. I have a white SL shell, here in Bendigo, if you're interested, pm me.

we learnt a lesson when we jack knifed when towing my calais. We strapped the axle and wheels but it was the swaying of the actual car body which caused the trailer to start wandering. After we strapped the tie downs to the car body it was solid. Lesson learnt. Lucky we didnt roll. Sorry to hear, all the best wit it.

my dad rolled a car onto its side once, same thing realy, towing a trailer with limestone, he saw them loading it more from the back and said he wasnt comfortable, they assured him it would be fine (his mistake for not being firmer), sure enough down a hill it got a sway up, theres nothing you can realy do in that situation apart from floor it and try pull the trailer inline, but then you run the risk of crashing at 120km/hr instead of 70. its not that uncommon for this to happen...

what was the tow car?

best thing you can do in that situation is put the pedal to metal in the tow car and use the power of the tow car to pull it out
