I feel sorry for Jonno because he is a top bloke. Im sure they have edited a whole heap out of the story. There are plenty of people as stated that act the same way on the road and just havent been made an example of. At the end of the day he was the one that stated he was doing that quick etc etc so only so much of the story can be changed. Would like to hear his p.o.v on the way it was shown though.

Look guys at the end of the day the main reasn y police focus on handing out tickets is because they are all tooo stupid to find the real criminals and also the goverment requires a minimum amount of money made monthly so why not hand out tickets for anything the more tickets one cop hands out well lets just say a bit of commision plays a slight part in the roll...

Read your local paper and you'll read reports of how GD and HWP police have regularly caught housebreakers and drug dealers by pulling over cars. There are also many many sections in the police that you are clearly unaware about, it isn't just GD's and HWP I know you would seem to prefer that no police ever stop people speeding but society would not accept that, you are in the tiny minority of people who don't seem to understand or accept social responsibilty including looking after one another as caring people. Highway patrol are exactly that, Highway patrol, they are not detectives, investigators or any other type of cop you see when you are watching TV at home, their job is to police the streets. You say they need to realise that there are 'criminals' out there, but when you are a traffic cop.. someone doing something silly (like hellis out the front of a crowded charity cruise for example ) is the very thing you are employed to prevent. We get picked on because we modify our cars, as Jenna said, if we aren't prepared to deal with being hasselled we wouldn't have built our rides. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

The way i see it is even if we arent doing the wrong thing, because we modify our cars, that sometimes we have to cop it on the chin. Police are just cracking down on all of us P-platers and enthusiasts because we are "SUSPECTED" of doing silly things, and whys that? Its all because of incidents that have occured in the past with P-platers which now has brought all the attention onto us young drivers. At the end of the day if we are doing the right by the laws of the road, then cops cant stop any of us from enjoying our cars and driving them. And Jono, he isnt the type of bloke the media makes him out to be. Ive met him before on previous occasions and he is a top guy. Yeh he admitted to doing stupid things on the road, but come on who hasnt done at least one dumb thing on the road in their lifetime, ill admit i have done a few silly things in the past on the road. As they say dont judge a book by its cover, the media is trying to get the public to think all P-platers are bad, when they dont even tell the public half the story. For example; Charity Cruises, how often does the media show these things on tv? Anyways sorry to blabber on, just my opinion on the situation.
