i found it quite good. better then anything else out there. BUT you cant get it at any shell and the performance gains for an everyday driver is not enough to justify the price difference. But it does work a treat!
I just realised the poll has been reopened. Thanks for that!!

v power racing. i will not put a drop of any other fuel in the car. y? i live 5mins from a shell that sells it, car runs well on it, its developped with the ferrari f1 racing team and fuel economy never really worried me, if it did i wouldnt have a highly modified vl turbo, id have a 3cyl charade

Out of interest, and just to scare a few people, as Ihave also always used BP Ultimate, have you seen on the news in the past week and heard of BP Service stations putting normal unleaded in the Ultimate tanks and selling it as ultimate?? Apparently a few service stations in brisbane city have been caught and are in the sh1t. Don't know if these wankers realise just how much our cars rely on the octane and that in a decent HP car, one batch of standard fuel is a $10 000 repair bill!!

I hope this is not the case at the bp near my house. Its real disappointing to hear they would do that. Dont they make enough money as it is? Now they are gonna charge us 10c more for a fuel we are not even getting? Thats real sad..

well i banged in a tank of V-Power racing and it there is a performance increase - i get a bit more torque.
when you look at the Motec fueltest it has better results than Avgas - if you have a read in there it mentions:
"In addition, limited testing of Aviation Fuel (Av Gas) was also carried out. Initial results showed that V-Power Racing was superior in its detonation resistance and able to make more power than the tested Av Gas."
i dunno why some people experience "pinging" must be some other factors apart from the fuel?

its 1/3 the price and has a higher octane content than most petrol and never heard of a dodgy batch of lpg?
can get quite good performance out of it, thers plenty of high performance f/i cars on LPG...

Well i dunno how that works - most cars are tuned for petrol and you would never see the benefits of gas unless you tuned your car to do so - also you burn more fuel on gas than on petrol - to quote the NRMA website
"LPG produces about 30 per cent less Greenhouse gas, but it contains less energy than petrol, so more LPG is burned for each kilometre driven. Depending on the efficiency of the petrol engine conversion, the Greenhouse benefit can vary from relatively marginal up to 20 per cent, with the accepted industry average being 10 per cent."
I've used gas in vehicles before and there is NO way i experienced better perfrmance in a duel fuel situation - besides head up the country and try getting gas easily - these days it's easier but historically i had to fill up with petrol till i got back to town. so if you are getting better performance from it i'd like to know how - especially if you have a turbo - then you need to be putting sometinh like V-Power Racing to reap the benifits in performance!

ULP is fine for me, with 10psi boost, dont need pulp for city as it makes
no difference and the slightly extra energy of pulp from some suppliers
doesnt justify the extra cost however, will use pulp when going country
and I also lean the cal on the AFM a bit (rb30ET)...

So does anyone use a high performance fuel? not just for daily driving purposes but for track days, meets, whatever?

Been running the VZ on Caltex E10 lately. 95 octane rating and the car seems to like it, get about 550-580 k's per tank, mixed driving. Possibly looking at a 5L VL, not sure how it would run on the E10. With the VZ, I'm going to run a bottle of Holden top end cleaner about every 6 tanks as apparently the E10's only big downside is it doesn't have the detergents etc found in premium fuels for keeping injectors clean, so you need to add something occassionally to help there, or avoid E10. Other than that I can vouch for Ultimate from past experience.

haven't tried that yet may have to give it a bash - but i have used all the others, Mobil 8000, Vortex, Ultimate and so fat the V-Power racing gives me the best results - have you used that Waughy? even with the cost i found i got more km's per tank and worked out about the same mileage as the other stuff and i get a smoother drive and better torque
