That engine is a "MONSTER" its funny what some people actually do and how far they go What would a stock vlt run as apposed to a stock vx ss? im thinking they would be similar... in tru stock form! You will always get the 6 cylinder classroom fighting the v8 classroom, vise versa, it just wouldnt be the same without such narrowminded children about to amuse everyone that reads Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Not gonna disagree, V8's Are always the best fun........ But, you can work a 6 tobe a mean machine..... Why..... 1. Quiet, So easy to hide from cops after a burnout or thrashing... 2. Cheap n parts at hand 3. Build a strong drive line like a M21 and then THRASH the balls out of it... 4. All the new P Platter laws....... 5. Save Fuel with these damn oil companies... 6. No mods and crap needed for cooling and other issues... 7. Easy to pull part out of boot and bolt on... Mainifolds n so forth... 8. Wont be target by crooks *useless fks* 9. You wont twist your chassis........ or snap your driveline..... 10. Your Wife / Girlfriend Wont kill your car.... Or her self ***If she gets to drive it***.. Also to me, It's easy to build a V8 and have power...... Takes time and fun to tune n build a nice 6 with all the tweaks... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I prefer a V8 over a turbo anyday. After watching thousands of turbo and V8 movies I will say that V8's seem to pull bigger burnouts and always seem to take off the line so much quicker. I think a common misconception is that when a car doesn't rev very hard like a V8, that people think it's slow and boggy?

I think a common misconception is that when a car doesn't rev very hard like a V8, that people think it's slow and boggy? Many may disagree with me on this one, But turbo will never match PURE POWER....... Not sure on the cost of and use of a turbo along with problems and all that sorta stuff... But i've never seen a turbo out do a V8... Even some six's can kickem back to the tail lights.,, But to me, Every car is different and every moment they are running different.... One time my car will not want to pull away from the lights with out a little bog down for some reason.... Other times it will launch and feel like it is an 8 taking of if i balance the clutch release and traction of the road along with the current air and tempature....... Comes down to the car and the driver.... plus.... THE SOUND! Nothing will compair to the roar .... NOTHING at all. but just becos i have a straight 202, Dont mean i cant make it perform or do what i want how i want.... Ask the holes blown in my old mainifold.

If you've never seen a turbo beat a v8, you haven't been out to anzacs lately. It's adelaide, all v8's are ****ing slow here, even the megas dollar ones, bikes are the only fun here. And what is pure power, if you went in a fast car, you would **** fish hooks. cheers darren

i think for me i CGAF if its 4 6 8 rotor, if a car is nice ! then its nice, and where i come from a genuine, car that runs 12sec on the track in street trim is still a damn fast car. i know in my town there is like one street car that runs that, that dont mean there is only i fast car here, it means that all the 10,9 sec cars dont drive on the road exept once a year if there lucky

Seriously this has to be the most un informed thread ever. I seriously doubt some guys have ever even serviced there cars let alone put a spanner on the motor.... If someone would kindly explain that torque gets the chequred flag every time. The VLT guys dont understand how lucky they even are to have a 6 cyl that is so responsive to turbo's in a 1200kg Car. The fact that they make good torque numbers at lowish RPM's is what makes them quick. In saying that though there max torque will roughly be around where max boost comes on and what a say 250rwkw VLT comes on boost hard at about 3250rpm??? In my daily driver VX i have a full 550nm of torque from 2000rpm all they way to about 5500rpm where it tapers off to the limiter at 6500rpm. By the time i mash the loud peddle in my LS1 im allready 3 car lengths ahead before you fast guys come on boost and your still going to be pushing **** up hill to catch me. I love VLT's there insane. Ive had one and im building another. Alot of the guys i cruise with have them but the thing i love to mention most is the fact that anything thats done to a 6 can be done to an 8 with double the HP. Easy.
