I think the subject on dosing is sometimes blown way out of propotion.. Its very pro/con from a lot of people and if peeps wanna dose i say its their car, their fun, and always their responsability.. Ive heard stories from a reliable mate that he had a vl once.. (one of the 25+ vls hes owned) and had a dose pipe on it for 2 years straight without any form of protection ie: pods, mesh etc, and in that 2 year time he had nothing but a normal vlt than ran perfect with or without the dosepipe. No damage to the turbo at all. Has anyone here actually had damage done to the turbs from sh!t being sucked into it?? or a damaged compwheel as a result of having a dosepipe???

only in SA would this thread would be allowed to stay open in answer to your question, yes i have heard of someone with a 'dose pipe' facing down and he went through a puddle and a large amount of water got sucked into the turbo... Turbo shat itself, cant remember if there was any damage to anything else Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

There is a engineer on ausrotary that tested the bov vs no bov, on 20psi plus psi the air travelling back against the wheel, worked out to be **** all. I don't care personally by the time the turbo is ****ed i will want a bigger one, My car Doses can be heard kilometres away with a bit of a boost spike Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
