For e.g i dnt much like the look of walkies... wouldnt but one... but whenever i see one on the road... i stop and stare and appreciate the car, and appreciate and understand why the owner has one and why he loves it so much GLD-086... REALLY? on supercars.net they hated them... and all people i know (cousins etc) from overseas that i show these too are like "WTF is that"

Personally i don't see the reasoning behind the huge pricing for vl Calais. Dont get me wrong i love the looks of the cars and would die for one but FFS the price half of the people sell them for is ludicrous. Yeah they are luxury cars. so is the VS STATESMAN and they often sell for less and they are NEWER cars??? Oh and my car is a SL and im proud of it.

Some people dont like the appeal of the BT1...but i still stand by my statement that people want BT1's...there just isnt enough to go round! Hence the high prices... Every question you have asked has been answered a million times...how bout we just give it a rest now eh?

Well these were mine and they loved them. Especially the FR19s, on the Calais. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Im with calais25t, ive always wondered this myself A BT1 in any state but victoria is worth 2-4k less than a calais of equivalent condition, why is that? Because they are just SL's (and with a dodgy owners history) with holes in the dash and bogged up aerial and mounting holes... The only reason i can see why they have a cult following in Vic is because they are yellow... So to the smart vic guys, come over here to SA and pick yourself up a baby blue ( ) BT1 for about 4k, spray it yellow and sell it in Vic for 8k minimum... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

No offence, but so many of you guy's that have replied in here, have made some very very retarded post's. BT1's are not rare. They are not the 'Holy Grail' of commodores. And calais25t's car, is better than pretty much everyone that has posted in here's car. Each to their own, some people prefer BT1's, some prefer Calais. Some prefer Ford's, some prefer Holden's. Who cares, end of the day, BT1's are VL's, and I love a VL for being a VL, not because one has a few more feature's than the other.

Being a VL forum, we should respect all VLs. Not like some of the ****heads at Boostcruising and other Commodore forums. Maybe 1 or 2. Could be because, I'm from Newcastle too. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I dont think there was any disrespect to BT1s intended in this thread, its just that every other state is trying to work out why there are threads created each day in Vl Turbo discussion about BT1s Cut us some slack ok? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Whoever it was that compared the BT1 to the Walkinshaw, you have made my night! hahahahahahahahahahahahahhaa The engineering differences are amazing. The BT1 is an SL Commodore, the Walkinshaw is the "Holy Grail" of VL's as everyone has been saying. The BT1 had everything the same as every other SL. The Walkinshaw ran a stronger T5G, and had a twin throttle body, injected 304.
