haha @ 'left over money'
Double what you sell the VL for, add a bit more and youre looking at a messy HQ coupe with a 308!
Theyre worth a dollar! Especially GTS 350s

24-05-06, 12:20 GMT+10#67 average HQ 2 door Monaro price, in decent condition, and pretty much stock, except for things like wheels, I think are currently around the $14,000 - $18,000 mark?
correct me if I'm wrong...

24-05-06, 18:33 GMT+10#68 i couldnt care less about a geniune GTS ( i dont even know wha that means lol ) I would just want a 2 door HQ with wicked paint and a 350 dropped in it. There are a fair few from 8-20k matching those specs.

A 308 would even be fine, i just wouldn't bother with a 253 lol

26-05-06, 13:28 GMT+10#71 I've always been a massive Mopar fan. Never been too much into the classic Fords and Holdens. Although, there are some impressive examples out there. I've always prefered the 69' Z-28 Camaros and the 65-67' Mustangs. I also like the XU1's because they are kinda unique with the 202, but Toranas are way overdone in my opinion. At every drag meet i've been to, at least 7/10 cars is a Torana. Very rarely do you see a Valiant, or any kind of Mopar at the drags.
This is probably the best looking Monaro i've seen.
The front setup is from a Brougham (luxury version). The better looking HK/HG front I reckon.
Is anyone else on here into Mopars?

My old mans got a nice 70' VG Val Coupe. I'll post pics soon.

26-05-06, 21:48 GMT+10#75 yes... yes yes yes it is a traxxas revo
that is the most indestructable truck i have ever owned, however, the hemi cuda is a CEN Genesis, the biggest truck in production, 42 engine, 3 speed gearbox, and it weighed 8 1/2 killos... but it handled like **** and it broke everything, it was the most unreliable truck i have ever owned!
i would not reccomend anyone EVER buy this truck, unless, you are willing to spend $100 every weekend on broken drive shafts, diff gears, steering setrvos etc
i bought them from the hobbyman in dandenong, GREAT place
i also have a hobao GPX 4 onroad car, HOBAO HYPER 21 buggy, and a SERPENT Impact one, which is about.... 20 years old, rear wheel drive, 2 speed gearbox, and i have been told that IF i could ever get traction in it..... it would go from 0 - 100 kmh in 1.9 seconds flat..... but it just smokes the rears lol
and for anyone who is heavily interested in RC Monster trucks, i strongly suggest the following site :
www.beatyourtruck.com (http://www.beatyourtruck.com)
*** AWESOME!
my other cars
and there is another three cars that i dont have photos of atm
not a vl.... but there my babies
lol

29-05-06, 02:28 GMT+10#76 Should of known it was a Genesis with those rims and tyres. It's a HPI Cuda' body am I correct? I've also heard the quality of them is almost next to poo pretty much. I wouldn't get one simply because of what I have heard and parts availability.
By the looks of it, your probably not that much into electrics but, I've got a Losi XXX-BK1 with an Airtronics MX-3 FM radio system, 12x2 Orion V2 motor, Monster stock motor, Novak Dually ESC. It flies! and it's smooth as butter. I've also got a Nitro Evader which the engine gave way after only 1-2 gallons of fuel. I haven't replaced it since, though and I don't use the R/C's anymore now. They're just too expensive and after getting rip stinged on a used Brushless motor system I called it quits. Them things are worth ****loads. I brought all my stuff from the states which turns out a whole lot cheaper. Half price in some cases.

Oh yeah, did anyone go to Winton this weekend to watch the Group Nc's? How'd the Chargers go?

And the revo was ****ed the day he bought it lol. i think we ended up with probably 12 or 13 r/c cars out the back.................all ****ed lol
