The ones who are saying GTR is better i guess your sick of the VL turbo as there an 80's car & A money pit,I disagree all high performance turbo cars will cost you alot to run,Especially the GTR the RB26 motor is not cheap to run,VL was a family car not a Sport's car like the GTR so your comparing 2 different things there,A real VL enthusiast will always have a passion about them not compare which is better and faster not always the case.

well i stil have a passion for the vl turbo rubez. Id love a mint calais turbo or even a mental bt1. But with brad selling a r32 gtr for a vl turbo? somethings wrong.

VERY different cars. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

personally i would rather a tough family car. People who are interested in handling would probably want the sports car.

When u have a vl turbo you have a car which has character. An r32 is is easy speed, they come out from factory as a fast car, but when people see an 80's holden family car hitting boost and spooling turbo they think "****, i didnt think vl's were fast? wtf?" and forever their opinioon of the moddest vl commodore is changed.

yeah i know no matter what i do to it the vl still attracts more attention.ic ould put flashing lights on it still wouldn`t get the attention of a vl with big cooler.

Its because VLs are cooler then SS utes. Not even a R31 Skyline gets as much looks as a boosted VL Turbo, not only that but R31s dont even compare in looks to any VL, not just Calais'. IMO I love VLs because they are hated amoungst ricers and the ricers dont like to get flogged by a Aussie car with a jap engine. lol I think alot of import guys under-estimate VLs alot because they look at them as Bogan sh*tboxes that arent fast but when a boosted 300rwkw Calais Turbo flogs the sh*t out of their Supra or WRX they soon back pedal in a hurry. Alot of other Commodore owners are like this too.On SC.com they always find reasons to bag on VLs but I think they are just trying to hide the fact that there are VLs around that will kick their Supercharged V6's or LS1's asses to high heaven. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

woah.. now your gettin a bit happy mate.. LS1's are the best bang for your buck motor around now, and the technology is ahead of an RB30. dont get me wrong,i love VL's and RB30's, but have you seen how fast LS1's are going in this country?

Whats a LS1 worth these days?

not alot.. there is a VT with clubby running gear for sale on this site for 9k or something silly. so so cheap, spend another 2k getting exhaust, extractors and a tune, and you have a flat 13-high twelve second car that gets 550km to a tank of fuel!

vls cooler then ss utes yeah i can deal with that but a r31 skyline ewww no way.... lol and my ute runs 12 .8 with about 4 grand spent on it so yeah epitah i would agree with you and i beleive these engines will go far and some are already pumping out incredible times and power like the chipmaster monaro...............

Umm a supra? ur comparing the rb series engine or the vl in general to the 2JZ toyota supra engine? THE best turbo engine ever built and the strongest turbo engine? Dont compare a vl to a supra mate Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

yeah they are a engine with heaps of potential and he did say a 300 kw vl so i guess you could compare the 2.even though a 200 kw vl would beat a stock supra.
