Not sure, it's not important really.. Julians car once it hits the strip will at least have a mph to aim for.. with 265rwkw around 120Mph I'd think is pretty achievable.

rajab plenum is being used, like i said the rwkw figure is down as there isnt too much timing in it, i think he said he could have squeezed more out of it but didnt run the timing as it was mucking around on him for some reason mb ecu mb not.. the next step was the figure that out then make the power.. 21psi shoud be up around 280 then porting head would be 300+.. so i know the restrictions, next step is iron them out.. even now, it pulls pretty hard, i dont think 120mph is unachievable as it is.. launches well and keeps going..
some specs on the car are
forged pistons
wade 3 cam
standard rods
arp rod bolts
standard head
m&w ignition
gt35/40 .82 housing
rajab plenum
550cc injectors
044 pump + surge and pre pump
custom exhaust manifold
3.5in exhaust system with straight through mufflers and hi flow cat
jatco fully tricked up stage 3 shift kit
full manual valve body
3200 dominator converter
standard turbo diff
mini spoole
3.45 gears
suspension is mostly done at the back less shocks
38mm waste gate
magnacore 9mm leads
heaps of weird little ****with the ignition that i have never seen before
4.5in inlet to turbo with massive pod
battery in boot
so thats pretty much it.. more timing, more boost, ported head.. 300 shouldnt be far away

not really comes to the sensor for the inlet temp not being put in the right place :P but lets not start that in this thread!
as the guys has said few problems, no one get's the best tune on the first run, so hopefully with the things he does it will soon improve, and as morgo says the mph at the end will be the true statement on performance

ok so say u made 265 @ 16psi or whatever, and got a light on both intake and exhaust, what sort of gains expect?? 5% increase in power? how much less boost to make the same 265?

As a guide on vl motors for every 2 degrees timing you should pick up around 10rwkw, this is a guide only, depends on a few things, just what i have seen
cheers

Far to many variables to generalise a potential hp gain..
Best I could do is give before and after figures, mind you it would be retuned and most people throw in a cam at the same time.. so it's still not 100% accurate.
Flow figures are about the best you can do..

but then that isn't flow tested under boost is it?
from what i read air flow, against boosted air flow are to different things!

With a 45mm and some timing you will see 300rwkw easily

Yeah although, if if your comparing two heads, ones ported ones not, and they each flow whatever, if you add boost, the constant would remain the same for each head. so as long as your testing under the same conditions, it doesn't really matter.

yep exactly!!
id say now with it making 265 on 20 psi, porting the head will give it 270kw on 18psi, then some timing mb 290 then 20 psi all estimates of course 300.. mb less.. but the gate may or may not be causing it to spike as it was going to 24psi.. i think a 48mm gate will definately help the situation..

Boost spiking is always down to wastegate control, and overall wastegate flow.
The turbocharger speed is regulated by the wastegate, and wastegate only.
A 48mm gate will definately solve the problem...

One thing to note Julian.
1bar = 14.5psi. There is no reason that you need a 3bar map sensor to run 26psi.

ahh k good to know.. but every1 has only ever mentioned 3 bar map sensors.. i didnt know there was 1 bar or 2 bar map sensors...... ill definately keep it in mind..
thanks

Actualy Julian...
I'm not so confident on what I just told you. I fairly sure that bar is measured in atmospheric pressure, but PSI is messured in pounds per square inch above the normal atmospheric pressure of 1 bar ?
That is to say that a 1 bar map sensor will detect 0psi as 0psi is normal atmosperic pressure or 1 bar. A map sensor of 2 bar will be 14.5psi. 3 bar = 29psi, etc.
hmmm.......
