We have like 20 vlts in new zealand. I will be changing over to a 25t box, but it's not until the funds come in. Just seeing if you can do minor mods and if it would hold up until i got them, but im understanding what you guys are saying, some last a while, some last very short. But thanks for your feedback

Mf5s arent that weak for the street as long as their fresh they can hold 200rwk as long as u dont go to calder with slicks or something. My mf5 with 270,000ks lasted a year and half with 235rwk then for the last 4months it had 253rwks blew 3rd gear to peice lol and i use to give this box a hammering.

mine lasted 6mths on 11Psi with no cooler started sliping on boost depends on how they have been maintained and how many kms my wagon shifts hard and is a better box than my sedan

I have had no probs with mine...although it was fitted with a quick shift kit by the previous owner (I know, not much really!), currently running 11psi, and I think it is starting to slip, but only when I run around in drive, on boost and giving it some. I reckon your box will last a while yet. In the mean time, just go with it and have some fun!!! By the way, I am talking BT1 box, so all this may be irrelevant!
