It's not a bad site for the wagon nuts out there. Pics of mine were amongst the first up. Flooded with lots of newer boats though.
Here's a couple more for those in the market for one -

hey guys,
we r going to paint our wagon....as you know its blue (the rarest), i want to paint it black , but my boyfriend wants to keep it the original colour....do u think keeping it the original colour, would keep its value?
i guess painting it black...no one will know it is such a rare car!?!? ...unsure?

You're just winding me up now aren't you ?!
They're never going to be super collectable or worth a fortune, but will always be a curiosity. I can imagine the comments when you come to sell it down the track....."Hang on, you're telling me you have the only known blue Calais turbo wagon to have survived thus far, and you painted it BLACK ??!!"
Even if I wasn't such a stock nut (and it is your car after all), colour changes are a pain at the best of times unless you're starting with a shell (think of the work and money involved in doing the door jambs, engine bay, inside the rear compartment, everywhere to do it properly). Black can look great when new but doesn't age well and every little scratch or imperfection will show up like you wouldn't believe. They're also a pain to wash as the metal heats up so much the water dries before you have time to wipe it off.
Your call though.

thanx u have made it easyer 4 me....this would be totaly different.. as the last vl we painted was a shell .. i think it would still look great even with the fresh original colour... i think thats what we want anyway...we want it stoko looking ....just a sleeper!!....and that it is!!!

Thanks spanners. I'll update the list at the top of the thread sometime this week.
No manuals in the 1988 bunch and from what we've got so far the split of the 200 looks to be 1/4 turbo's, 1/4 n/a's and 1/2 V8's, which would make sense considering how much the Nissan engines were costing Holden by 1988.
