Had my Engine on my Engine hoist, and had the Engine lifted about 1.5meters off the floor to work on it, For sum GAY reason my Hoist required someone to stand on it to stop it from over balancing at that height. so i had a mate of mine standing on it about an hour into it my mate starts getting a bit itchy an cant stand there much long as the man was stinging to punch a few. so as ive stood up from under the engine, the moron has jumped off the hoist dropping the engine skimming my back with the teeth of the flywheel and smashing the ground, End result ripping my back to shreds not nowing the flywheel was bent like a banana causing all the converter not to sit straight when the box was in which meant all the gearbox oil was all over the road. Had to pull the box out and replace the Flywheel and and the seal on the box and also casuing a small bent in the main drive shaft in the box

when i was working under my car i dropped a ratchet directly above my head. reflex action was to close my eyes and dodge. the ratchet missed my head. but in my natural reflex i smacked my head on the concrete, then the reflex took over again and my head went straight up into the diff and knocked myself out. pmsl. needless to say i had a head ache for a while after that. also walked into a hoist arm 3 times and ko'd myself lol.

haha some good ones there guys. mine wasn't too bad - was doing my manual conversion and doing up the flywheel bolts with a big torque wrench, it slipped off a bolt and swung down, smashed my top lip and broke one of my front teeth in half. had to go to a 7 day dentist (it was a saturday) to give me a new tooth there. later on it broke off while eating bacon so i had to go get it done again. not much fun.

I have a scar on my chin, from where I was trying to undo the starter motor mounting bolts. Leaned on the ratchet, leaned harder... bolt cracks and I face plant on the inlet manifold.

Loading my calais onto a trailer, forgot to open the window before winching it up (engine out), side rails on trailer were to high to open the door, and trailer sloped up a driveway. Car started rolling straight at the winch. Couldn't get to the hand brake, so, being the quick thinker i was, instead of pushing against it to stop it and then throwing the chocks I had sitting next to me under the tyres, i shoved my foot under the tyre to stop it. Of cause i was stuck under the tyre till my mate come out laughing his head off cause he'd watched the whole thing. I'll never load a car onto a trailer thats not level again, but I'd still sacrifice myself before damaging the car Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
