i haven't read all the replies but i gotta say it sucks. i get pulled over regularly for "random" checks. i bet if i was driving a 1984 corolla they wouldn't pull me over. consider yourself lucky you don't live in the revenue state (Victoria).

Bad luck on the canarie man... :S Wish i had fuel for the cruise! Anyone here ever been to Kalgoorlie? When i had my P plates there, i counted the number of times i got pulled for an RBT and car inspection... I counted a total of 46 times in one year of P plates. The funny thing is, i was driving a 1991 Toyota Camry that was previously my dads car. Here in Perth ive got my calais and ive not been pulled over once for an RBT, except for once at a booze bus (those things r cool, we dont get them in kal for obvious reasons).. Well back to kal mid november for uni holidays - I wonder how many times i can get pulled over then Back to the issue of permits - Does that mean with something like a pod air filter that your supposed to have a permit for, its actually cheaper just not to get a permit as they're gonna slap a canarie on you regardless? Cheers *edit* its even more funny when the same cop pulls you over the night prior, then 2 times the following night, 30minutes apart... dumb sh!t !!! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

That sucks Go to Midland Pits, they cleared me easy, good blokes there, I went to Warwick for the first inspection...they picked on everything. and no you don't need to book an inspection (possibly unless the yellow has expired) Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
