I would think the exhaust flow of a VG30 exhaust housing would be somewhat choked on a 3 litre engine, they are smaller than the stock housing, and not many VL's crack 350rwhp with hiflows on them. I'm sure the wheels aren't some fantastic new design that could never have been tried on a VL, people have been putting various combinations of hiflows in RB30's for many many years. I have seen 230rwkw out of a stock RB25 turbo with VG rear on a 25 though, just had injectors, piggy back, exhaust and plenum top, so I don't doubt they are making 260 odd with hiflow internals. GT30 is a nice all round turbo. 6BOOST

My Hiflo uses the VG rear housing but has been machined to accept 13BT rear wheel, uses the 13B core with a T04B front comp cover and V Trim comp wheel, made 325rwhp on 19-20psi, number 4 piston had a hole in the crown the size of my thunb nail and it was breathing like a steam train! Fairly respectable. Ive since had the motor built with Waggott cam etc and will retune shortly to see if weve made any gains. I have found that exhaust housing/wheel combo anything but restrictive...With the internal gate boost is hard to control and it makes 20-22psi and does not drop off at all even at 6000rpm+ Am gunna try one of those Norgen (spelling) oneway valves 6Boost recommends to see if I can control boost a bit better and improve response...

Are they electronic or just a bleed valve? I have a turbosmart single bleed valve but yeah more revs=more boost with piddly little integral gate.

I will keep ya's posted. highlight of the night (apart from the 11...) was a xr6T, thought he was THE ****, get completely shutdown by me. hahahahaha.. love that ****.

It is at this point that I would like to point out that the car was only running 18psi, which was 320rwhp on the same dyno session as the 340rwhp run on 20psi, and call to mention the people that said how **** the power was for what it is, and that maybe there is a few low reading dyno's out there, as 120.8mph in a full weight calais, with sub box, 2 subs, amps, full stereo, full exhaust, spare tire, tools etc all in the car, the car would have to weight AT LEAST 1450kg with driver, probably closer to 1500,, which is 450hp+ at the crank on the morosso calculator, which doesn't lie I'd say 450hp on 18psi with stock head, valves, small cam, NA intake manifold and basically just 600 roller and manifold and good cooler is a bloody good effort!!! Congratulations Grant!!!!! 6BOOST Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

6BOOST, if i buy one of your manifolds will you stick up for me too? lol jk should maybe think about some street slicks with that kinda power, especially if it will turn the wheels in 3rd no sweat Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

he cant afford street slicks hehe ha buys dodgey $140 17's i must admit i was at willowbank with grant when he ran that , i got it on film. and yes he did have so much extra junk in hs car , we just swapped upper trailing arms that afternoon , he had the big socket set in there and a set of spanners and a trolley jack , not too mention what 6boost said above , plus a full tank of fuel. there is still much time to be made up with a lightened car , but hey , its a street car so he runs it as it is. not bad for a car with popular mags like that Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Popular! haha. Poo wheels. Put pursuities on it homo! Yeah Grant really does struggle. He doesn't bother to remove any excess weight like his boom-box for phat beats etc. And with all those hose clamps the thing must be at leat 100kgs over a std calais

You can get em made at "Big tyre' in toowoomba for $110 each, you just give em an old rag of the tire size you want, and they recap it in any compound you want, from hard, for circut to super soft for drag racing, and they can even cut little sqiggles into it for you and they stamp a DOT tag on it, so they can even be driven on legally, but they are sh1t to drive on on the street, great on the track though! SH1t, I wouldn't worry about doing anything to it at all, just be happy you have a tough 11 second car, the MPH says an 11.2-11.3 with better 60ft, which is just insane for what it is and how fast it spools. I'm not racin you on the street, you'll chop my laggy piece of crap 5 times over. Once i'm on boost i'll drive past ya sideways though Lol. 6BOOST Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
