so when you paint the lights you paint over the whole thing??? or do you mask out all the side edges that are already black including the middle area??? from what i understand is you only paint the sections where the lights actually are???

Fly by vl…that looks pretty dam good, looks nice and glossy in your avatar, glossy centre garnish too….mine are as dark as yours but have been sprayed with clear over the top, I didn’t do it they came off SKDMUP but I must say it looks really nice although very illegal. But what I wanna know is where the hell did you get brighter globes from?? Ive been trying to find them for mine which are off my car at the moment because they aren’t bright enough in daylight. And boost you can paint over the whole thing you don’t need to tape the outer plastic although you can if you wanto as it might end up slightly less glossy then the way it was.

how would truck globes work? trucks are 24v commodore is 12v so truck globe would actually run much duller. only way i know of is to use brakelight globes for your parkers and indicators but then your stuffed for brake lights

although it does look sexy as. I hope your willing to drive around uninsured. if you go to hand in a claim, and they see those lights, your not covered.

Insurance is only not paid if the part in question was a contributing factor to the accident, and as all rear end accidents are seen to be the fault of the following driver it would be impossible to void insurance with tailights that are sensibly tinted and still clearly visible at a long distance. Berlina's had black lines on the lights, and Im absolutely sure that they are in fact insurable through most mainstream, and specialty, insurance companies.

maybe so, but im sure as you will agree, is that insurance will NOT pay out if it doesent have to. and if they look over the car, which they will- you would hope that they dont notice it. sure berlinas had those lines, however they were approved prior to production. dont get me wrong, on my first vl I had my tail lights blacker than a beat up wife! just letting you know the risks
