If he wants to do a 253 let him, when hes proven a point as i did with a 253, whack all the gear into a 383(355 was probably better). Do a search on S&M bloworld in sydney as they do a holden lowblow kit, then source a b&m4/71 to suit. All up your looking at between 6-8g on the road. When you will notice the improvement once you add some cubes to a fairly potent combo.

Hey guys said to say but i have sold my tonner along with the 253 ....the money made selling it allowed me to buy another car.... i am now the new proud owner of a 1971 HG kingswood sedan. it has a 186 in it at current and due to the law coming in that p platers will no longer be able to drive V8's i have a plan to do a V8 conversion.....well get it all together so as soon as i get my opens in she goes...but back to the point (don't worry not going 253) i plan on droping in a 350 chev Now your not gonna pay me out about that r u.......and by the way i have 2 years to build a 350 so she is gonna hawl ass.....mind setting me up with some good bits to buy for her...... cheers Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

You need to go back to school before you build a motor. Learn how to speak correctly.

if he knew anything he would actually find that the torana that this way in only weighs 180kgs less than my car with the same motor in it.. that and 195kw @ the wheels should see easy mid 12s on street tyres. but i notice that he didnt know alot about what was going on so i dont think he will say much anymore

its a boat anchor engone out of his old fj40 and its claimed times now even thou it wasnt his car and a ute is lighter in the ass end and will cop more spin and it wasnt over convertered if anything it would have helped it launch harder and they tyres under scottys arches are like 11" wide so no wonder it launches good and exhaust too big ? v8s dont need back pressure so the bigger the better will be like droping the pipes over geared is only over geared if hes limiting the rpm in top gear thru the traps otherwise once again it will help and 180 kgs is still a reduction in weight! so all helps so its now a 14 in street trim

i run exactly the same tyres as him. he ran out of revs 60-70m from the line. 76kg = .1 secs.
