That gold VH has a twin turbo Stroker,...it is tuned only for the dyno and cant hardly even be driven unless he tunes it down..... It was only built for dyno shootouts and not the quarter mile..

Yeah I know its purpose built but so is the nizpro XR6 using the latest falcon donk while Eddie used a block which has its origins from the seventies and is still a favorite in 2005 and beyond.

yeah couldnt really imagine cruising along side tassone in that animal it would most definately be wild, side to side or i mean gutter to gutter action. not to mention the noise it would be making. that is one hell of a machine i wouldnt put that in the same class as any other street cars. It is surely a unique icon which will be in our memories for quite some time to come i reckon. Actually there is one i can think of but im not to sure about its power but it is an orange torana lj or maybe lc and it has a huge engine hanging out with twin beasts on it. Boyracer obviously has no clue at all about these car's, you sound like a 14 year old. Have you ever driven an xr6t? or even an LS1 holden? Ive owned a 351 powered ford, and now I own an SS commo. My old man own's an xr6t and has never had a problem with it and I know many other owner's who have never had problem's with them either. Take another look at the pic in the first post,why wouldnt a commodore dude take a dig at he mighty XR6,turbo a 4 litre and it would wanna go,so what,I still wouldnt have one.You had a 351 and now have an SS,I havnt driven an LS1 but have been in a couple and was impressed,When somebody puts an XR8 donk in a XB coupe I will like it but the AU and BA falcons dont do it for me.

I like the sound of the VY LS1 but for the money I would rather a blown black VR SS.

i like both, and dont like the others least they are both made local, no filthy imports for me. Id buy an xr6t in a heartbeat, love their shape, interior is huge and comfy, and the 6 even non turbo is a torque monster, havent been in a turbo but im sure it goes like the wind. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

hahaha sounds like boyracer cant admit that there are many fords out there that will kick ring over holdens. the new 6 speed behind the mk2 xr6t is also a whole lot better than any holden/hsv 6 speed. ohh and whats that, the f6 typhoon makes more torque than any holden/hsv v8....

It was meant to be a monster, but the twin plate clutch is meant to be pretty ordinary, clutches kept on blowing when they were testing it.. 3 clutches I think they did - around the track of course, just a few other things which generally lead out to the base model being better. I think the typhoon had a higher trap speed if I can remember correctly, but the xr6t had the faster time. So the typhoon obviously has more power, just seems to be a lack of getting it down. Few other issues, was in a wheels mag I read a fair while back. But its almost the same as the vlt, Wasn't it faster then the HDT cars? Stock vs Stock??

yeah i know all about the clutches, but i was assuming you meant the xr6t made more power than the typhoon... I dont pay much attention to fords so i generally assumed the typhoon was an upgraded version of the xr6t... do they have the same block or do they use completely different engines?
